LexTVandRadio 418 Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Anyways, WAVE have an orange colour scheme is kinda cute. :3 It feels like the orange WAVE theme should be used only for the summer.
Hexagonal10 84 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 WOIO has it blue. Edit: They are also using This Is The Place
mike91 67 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 A few more not mentioned here that I found WAFF-http://www.waff.com/clip/11789930/huntsville-city-schools-employee-under-investigation-at-elementary-school KCBD-http://www.KCBD.com/clip/11789972/blue-bell-announces-flavors-returning-to-stores KLTV-http://www.kltv.com/clip/11790149/authorities-looking-for-home-intruder-in-garrison-area?autostart=true
Samantha 2902 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 KOLD had a new logo even on their weather...
atlnews2 595 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I haven't seen these posted yet WTOC http://www.wtoc.com/clip/11796426/suspected-virginia-shooter-former-wtoc-employee it appears that they no longer use "The Southeast's News Leader" as a slogan WFXG http://www.wfxg.com/story/29888148/richmond-county-school-system-address-security-measures-in-schools they are the first one's I've seen use a yellow scheme instead of blue or orange
MikePulse 319 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I haven't seen these posted yet WTOC http://www.wtoc.com/clip/11796426/suspected-virginia-shooter-former-wtoc-employee it appears that they no longer use "The Southeast's News Leader" as a slogan Yeah, it's been that way for a few weeks. The new slogan is "Live. Local. Now."
NWA_TV_guy 157 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Looks like WDAM will debut a new logo as well (see attached photo). They're still using the new graphics exclusively in their weather segments for the time being and is now branded as "First Alert".

atlnews2 595 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 WFXG's open KLTV's open KLTV is using a darker blue than the other stations (or is is purple?). Anyway I like it. I think I prefer it over the lighter blue that we've been seeing so far. Also for some reason even though KLTV has the new graphics their website is still using the red, white, and blue background from the old graphics http://www.kltv.com/
Breaking News 839 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 FOX 8 has the Raycom package look and feel
LOWERCASE GUY 283 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 WBRC now has the Raycom look, and new branding: WBRC Fox 6 News On Your Side
NWA_TV_guy 157 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 WBRC now has the Raycom look, and new branding: WBRC Fox 6 News On Your Side Here's the 10:00 p.m. open from 09-09-2015:
Big Country News 435 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 That neon sign look for "WBRC" is tacky and they would have been better branding as "FOX 6 News"
NWA_TV_guy 157 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 That neon sign look for "WBRC" is tacky and they would have been better branding as "FOX 6 News" They should keep that look on their sign on top of Red Mountain in Birmingham, not on air.

I don't know. I kinda like the new logo since it's a nod to their call letters even if the typeface doesn't quite match. Also, they finally dumped MyFoxAL.com in favor of WBRC.com
tyrannical bastard 4033 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 It is unique, but they didn't nail it like John Christopher Burns did with the old WKBN package...
NewsMaster 226 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 I hate that logo. I do like that the WBRC call letters have been brought into the branding, however. It's not as "Foxish" anymore. This means that three of Birmingham's four news-producing stations have all switched their brandings to include their call letters in the past year. First WIAT, then WVTM and now WBRC. And you can bet that ABC 33/40 (WBMA or whatever it is now) won't be joining that club anytime...ever.
Samantha 2902 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 It is unique, but they didn't nail it like John Christopher Burns did with the old WKBN package... I have to agree. Gotham is a great typeface, but it wasn't even around when that sign was made. And it feels forced.
tyrannical bastard 4033 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 It's too bad they chose "Aerial". It's more of a "blah" package for a FOX affiliate. Too bad "Fusion" isn't available anymore for syndication. "U-Phonix" would have been a better choice.

NWA_TV_guy 157 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 WSFA is using the new graphics for weather ONLY...for now.
Mrapmcdowell 1 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 I have been wondering when WBRC would debut the new Raycom package. I think I like it. It is interesting that when 33/40 debuted the sinclair package they adopted the 'First Alert Storm Team' mantra and now WBRC is the 'First Alert Weather' ... Birmingham now has 2 first alerts to choose from. Lastly, we know have all 4 major players in Birmingham with new graphics. WIAT, then 33/40 and WVTM, and now WBRC .. and I think the best looking graphics by far are used by the folks at WIAT 42 news.
NWA_TV_guy 157 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Raycom has apparently adopted First Alert for traffic and weather for all stations. For example, WVUE has been "Your Weather Authority" for many years. They are now "Your First Alert Weather Authority". Another example is WDAM, which has never really had a weather branding, but is now First Alert. Go to your app store and search Raycom. You'll see all of the weather apps are now First Alert.
