Hulkie, have you seen Sean Hennessey, he is stiff, least interesting and dynamic perosn along with Deborah Garcia on the #1 market. And yes, Jensen must be rolling on his grave. While I should not be surprised about this change it would be hilarious if Dana and Jim get replaced by Deborah and Sean. Now that should be on Saturday Night Live. This is CBS2 it can happen. These are the people who drove Todd McDermott away (remember his grace under fire as they were doing coverage 'round the clock after 9/11?) Damn, the name escapes me...who was that AMAZING Sports Director...the guy they broght in from Sports Center...fired him about 4 years ago? Again, I was one of the people screaming when they brought Wragge to the anchor desk but changed my mind. I think he has great chops for morning or afternoon news...he is versitile going from daily news to gossip and then passing off to Tony Tantillo. But the 11 broadcast against Bill and Chuck? (Let the record show someone ELSE brought up the suit question...I am not polluting another thread with Suit Talk uninvited!) Jim's suits are more consistantly perfect than Chris' or almost anyone else on local news. And they bury Bill and Chuck's ANY DAY!!! (The only reason I have never attacked Bill's drab suits is because he is such a great newsman I can't bring myself to insult anything about him.) They have been 6 months at the job, and CBS 2 News at 5 experienced the gaining in ratings at 5 because of Judge Judy, not because of Chris & Kristine. I'm going like four for four now on big unexpected moves by the station. This I guess explains why Dana's been off all week. Is Lonnie coming back to 11? John has only been there like two days this week too. Surprised to see Mary anchoring at 5 yesterday and solo at 11 tonight. This better be like when Lonnie came in and left at 11.... Dana is being abused again. Jim is back to where he was when he left CBS 2 the first time. and Chris and Kristine's names rhyme. Talk about that Kristine Johnson... joins the station in November... goes on maternity leave... comes back... and bam weeks later (in the middle of summer nonetheless) becomes lead anchor. And that Chris... still talking like he's a sports anchor and trying to hard. can you say disaster? I don't know what to say anymore. I was mad when they put Sean Hennesey and Deborah Garcia as weekday mornings... this is just. I revoke my original words from April of last year.... Did he forget what station he was moving to? Must say though... he lasted a full 25 months at 11pm. Good for him! Thats longer than Roz (coming in at 23.5 months) did and Dana (in her most recent consecutive run.. 14 months). So if Dana didn't have a reason to be bitter towards Chris when he joined the station as Warner's replacement... she does now. Seems as if Chris and Kristine have made all of the talent bitter with their promotions... Mary/Roz, Jim/Dana, Bolaris I'm sure... Maurice we all know came here to do evenings... And whoever said on the first page of this that Dana doesn't seem like a nice person because of how bitter she was to Roz, I've met her, and she is one of the nicest people you can meet. I bet you anybody would be bitter if they were in the same position that Jim & Dana are. My prediction: CBS 2 will have he worst sweeps this July. Peter Dunn said that he saw the ratings improved and wanted to have the same momentum at 11PM, but changing their main anchors? I don't think so.
