news89 468 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Not sure how we all missed this one. WIVB has gone Nexstar with same graphic package as WISH, WHTM, WBRE/WYOU and etc. Along with SAM's This is the Place. Now lets go to the video of the studio: Take a look inside News 4's new set

MyNewsArchive 197 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Here's the noon newscast from the new set
JacobC 44 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Don and Jacquie finally can sit down on the desk after standing up behind the desk since their news went HD
who?cares 255 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 I like the blue graphics. It looks much better than the WTNH version. It appears they are running the open out of a video channel instead of a graphic machine.
newsn8te 202 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Looks good! Love the set and the blue version of the graphics. Wish they would’ve gone with something other than the bland and over used This is the Place package
MikeBucc 29 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 It looks like Albany’s WTEN/WXXA may also get this set, Tim Lake tweeted “we’re next”
Georgie56 3326 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 It looks great. The WISH package does look better with the blue.
NEOMatrix 1307 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 This is a decent set for Buffalo. Nothing spectacular, but nothing chintzy either. My takeaway is this: as long as stations take the WISH package, they can avoid the Dalek desk.
jbnews 345 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 I love the new look. I actually like This is Place. It's one of my favorites.
TheRolyPoly 2586 Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 I know people think Nexcheap is, well, cheap, but... I think Nexstar may have hit a home run with these graphics packages and these sets. In Buffalo, this is far and away the winner and a whole lot better than the ones WGRZ and WKBW both have.

The set designs and graphics packages they've used since taking over Media General have been, for the most part, top notch. The WISH package probably stands with some of the best graphics package designs in the standardized era.
MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie 948 Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 One thing I noticed is they are mixing in another package -- I saw plenty of the MG package with the Montserrat font mixed in -_-
AJClementeFan69 477 Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 Looks really nice. Also props to Nexstar for finally doing a redesign that didn't force an awkward CBS co-brand onto an existing logo. (A la KRQE and WANE)
MidwestTV 1243 Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 The ticker behind the main anchor desk is distracting, at least on that solo shot. My eyes were immediately drawn to it and it was hard to look away.
tw-804 194 Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Love the set and new look, but I was surprised they chose "This Is The Place". I was expecting the updated cuts of "360" KLAS and WAOW are using...or "CBS Local" or "Guardian".
