Hello everyone, my name is Hazim. I'm from Malaysia and I'm a young adult asperger. I'm 20. I love broadcasting and it's my passion. I started watching how foreign TV looks like in August 2005 through the internet. I started following and reading the threads in TV Forum in late 2012. I've always wanted to share some news videos by registering to TV Forum (another TV-related forum site which is from the UK) as a member but could not because the email address I enter is not valid to be used on TV Forum. So I use this instead and from today onwards (October 10, 2014) I started using this forum. This is the first time I do a post on a forum like this. Previously it was just social networks. Anyway I would also like to say hello to WW Update and fox1. They're also TV Forum users and they're my favourite users because they share TV news videos from around the world. I praise them a lot.

First up I'll share some TV news videos from my own country (most of these have never been posted before on TV Forum, TV Newstalk or any other TV-related forum). I'll start off with TV3, one of the commercial TV stations.

A coming up teaser for one of the most-watched news programs in Malaysia (Buletin Utama TV3; October 2014)

An opener of TV3's morning news bulletin (Buletin Pagi; airs weekdays at 9 am and weekends at 7:30 am local time; September 2014)

A short business news bulletin which airs weekdays at 11 am local time (Detik Niaga TV3 September 2014)

An example of an hourly news update (Berita Terkini)

The opener to the Buletin Utama with the current look in use since June 2014

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFc674CYnb4&list=UUO92_a2TcxR4p5BHg5pKjmA

The short-lived previous look of Buletin Utama as previewed the day before the new look in October 2013

And here are some retro ones

Buletin 1:30 from 1997 (during the 1997 Southeast Asian haze)

An excerpt of a news report in Buletin Utama (this one is about the sacking of the former Deputy Prime Minister in 1998)

A news report on the death of Sudirman (a singer) in 1992 (Buletin Utama TV3)

The world news on TV1 in 1995 (Berita Dunia; the male presenter has been presenting the news for a long time and he still does it today; his name is Farith Ismeth Emir)

The late news bulletin/last news for the day on TV1 in 1986/1987 with the same male presenter who present the world news)

A full-length evening news bulletin (Buletin Utama) in March 1991 which includes some continuity and commercials [during this time Buletin Utama change to its present name; in September 1995 they expanded to become an hour long instead of half-hour long and moved to the then-new broadcasting centre called Sri Pentas in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor]

The English news at 7:00 pm on TV3 in 1987 with Patrick Teoh (notice his British English accents) [The TV3 English news later moved to late evening in 1994]

Some continuity from TV3 (an ident, announcement in Malay) leading into Face to Face (former current affairs talk show) in 1995

BONUS: A compilation of clocks used by RTM television channels from the 1980s until today

Hope you enjoy it. I'll post more videos soon.

(BTW, do you realise my icon? The icon I'm using is from my Twitter account. I registered to this forum using Twitter and this icon is a drawing of one of a character from one of my favourite Japanese manga and anime called "Perman" (パーマン). He is Mitsuo Suwa (須羽ミツ夫). He changes to Perman/wears his Perman costume when needed and keeps his secret as a Perman from people. The manga is created from the same guy who made Doraemon)

Hi, Hazim! Welcome to the TVNT fold. We're very happy to have newcomers join our growing family, and you seem really perfect for it. These vids you shared are really good, and your Twitter icon looks really cool I'm also 20 and love broadcasting and this site is a perfect one to talk about it.

On behalf of everyone here, I hope you enjoy your time here.

More TV news videos from my country.

The evening news on TV1 at 8:00 pm in 1993 (the male presenter is Harjit Singh Hullon, he has been presenting the news since the early 1970s)

Some RTM TV news openers from 2010

A short news bulletin on TV1 in 1983 presented by Harjit Singh Hullon (the news reports from the time this was recorded were mostly about how Malaysians help avoiding themselves from being communist-influenced)

Mandarin news on TV2 in December 2013

Tamil news on TV2 in June 2014

BONUS 1: The last bit of RTM1's ident, an announcement in Malay with a telop/slide leading into the start of Crown Court, a British drama once aired in Malaysia. And it's also not subtitled in Malay, possibly due to the fact that Malaysian courts still use English as its procedural language during the time it was recorded; they don't fully change to Malay in the early 1990s

BONUS 2: An in-vision sign-off announcement from TV3 in 1988

From BasicMasterReloaded on YouTube, here are two recently uploaded videos of ZDF on January 31, 1991:

ZDF heute followed by programme schedule

ZDF's teletext pages in a loop with 17 pages on teletext page 777; in the 2000s the teletext page would later be used for subtitling/closed caption for the deaf (Videotext fuer alle; equivalent of BBC's Pages From Ceefax in the UK or NOS Tekst TV in the Netherlands)

Recently Euronews has changed its News opener to a new one. The opener theme has been rearranged and re-recorded. The red animation thing at the end of the news opener reminds of Euronews using that for breaking news. After the opener comes the three headline text bars at the bottom-left. TV Forum has a thread on this (http://www.tvforum.co.uk/thenewsroom/euronews-new-title-sequences-40421/#post-936296).

I have managed to record its opener at 12:00 pm my local time (UTC+8), so here it is. It includes the end of Meteo Europe and time check using CET. Apologies for the rolling sound of the garbage just near my house when I recorded this. I took some takes before recording this opener. I recorded this via timeshift on my pay TV provider Hypp TV. Maybe I'll try to record a new one soon.

RTV News, Hong Kong, 1980:

That's a reupload from the same user (who uploads this video in the late 2000s) but in a more higher video resolution than the previous one. It's in 720p resolution.
