Out of all the themes that Noticias Caracol (Colombia) ever had, this one was my favorite and was apparently used from 2007-2011, quite a long time considering that Caracol likes to change up its themes every few years. Yes, its a variation of its longtime theme:

A short closer of Nuevediario in 1987, when it was the absolute leader in Argentinian TV news, reporting on memorable stories like the "house of ghosts" in La Plata or similar paranormal events:

Don't forget the iconic Enoch Light music, that identified the program for almost a decade, and it's still remembered!

Another Nuevediario closer: this one is from Monday, July 20, 1992.

The anchors had huge microphones attached to their desk!

From the same newscast, but in January 1995, as Mabel Marchesini anchored solo while Guillermo Andino was on his summer break.

At the beginning of the video, you'll find 6 minutes of Saved by the Bell dubbed in Spanish! The person who recorded the video started doing it a few minutes before 8pm.

MBC, South Korea (2018). MBC's flagship program MBC Newsdesk has rebranded again, just a few months since the program's last refresh after the broadcasters' strike. They kept the remixed version of the classic theme though, so that's good:

New set, graphics and music for the noon newscast of Canal 12, the Canal 13 affiliate in the city of Córdoba, Argentina, which premiered today.

Now the presenters introduce stories walking around the studio, as they don't have a permanent desk anymore.

The music theme!

Nuevediario opening its Sunday night broadcast, 23 years ago today, with the end of the 1995 Copa América and a new champion. This CNN Headline News-esque look was replaced on August 9th that year by another package that gave the newscast a "grandeur" appearance.

Part of the opener was clipped.

Two idents from Canal 9 used during the last era of Alejandro Romay as its owner. These IDs were recorded in June 1998, more than six months after the station was sold to the financial group CEI (Citibank) and Australia's Prime Television.

Excerpts of the investigative program Edición Plus, that aired on Telefe between 1992 and 1995. It pioneered the use of the "hidden camera" and flashy effects in Argentina.

The set resembles those used by programs like 20/20 or Dateline NBC. The style was very similar, too.

Canal 9 Libertad's ID, used between 1984 and 1990.

Anyone knows what's the name of the show/movie that appears right after the ID?

Sadly, that great logo and music theme were pulled at the end of 1996, because then-owner Alejandro Romay disliked that format. He fired news director Lucía Suárez and tried to give the newscast a populist/tabloid style, the same that turned Nuevediario into a ratings winner during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Here's an update recorded in December 1996, anchored by Sergio De Caro. The newscast had a new logo, inspired on the cable news channel Telenoticias (before being purchased by CBS) and a new version of the Enoch Light theme. The new format was a failure: ratings went down the hill and main anchor Guillermo Andino left the station. Weekend newscasts were canceled and the noon news was replaced in August of 1997 by Married... with Children. In September 1997, Nuevediario changed its name to 24 Horas, and ratings improved a bit.
