*bangs head against the wall*

Why do they have two different on-screen logos?? Was it to much money to create a new "On Target Weather" logo to go with the new graphics?

Bush league, man, bush league.

KXTV just got the new graphics. Here is the youtube video (Open and Close) just uploaded by Youtube user bartmankron4,

Hmm...it looks like Gannett is going with a custom music and GFX package for its stations, like H/A and MG...

Where have you been?

Overall I think it looks good. But I think it is too over the top for some of Gannett's stations.

I knew about the GFX part, but I didn't know that the theme would be used on multiple Gannett stations until watching the KXTV video...

Music - probably done by Pyburn partner James Ryan at Rampage Music - is extremely awful. I don't really see how this can be used across the light, touchy-feely stations like KARE...

These would be a huge step backward for KSDK. Although none of the stations that have these are HD.

This will make KPLR's graphics look good...

WUSA is launching their new look @ 5 today. I captured a 5pm tease and it appears they are using the blue version of the graphics. Attached is a screenshot of their 7 day forecast on their website. Ill post the open later on.

I think that's what WKYC will use. They're still using their in-house amber rotator graphics. I have no clue when they're making the switch (could be today, for all I know), though they tend to do changes (such as sponsors) on Mondays.

What I have seen of the graphics change has only been online in 'KYC's case. See the attachments...

I have uploaded a montage of WUSAs 5/6pm newscast tonight.

check it out here:

Gah, I hate that music, but it's catchy at the same time! Kinda like the MG theme...

Yuck. So Gannett has commissioned a standardized music package for its stations as well?

Why couldn't they have gone the route of Belo instead of the route of H-A and Media General?

I know what you mean. It's just like the sinclair music package to me. It's catchy.

Wow Even WFMY has switched over to the new Graphics!

Well yeah... every Gannett station is getting these sooner or later... it's not on WXIA, WTLV/WJXX, WTSP, KARE, WKYC, and others yet.

Add WLTX to the changes. They are using the red graphics, but in the videos they are still using their current logo and it sticks out like a sore thumb.

It's like the logo went in a time machine from 1995 to 2008...
