nycprod 0 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Richard Huff is reporting on a 'pending departure'. That doesn't make sense. Isn's Rick in line to take over for Ernie Anastos? If he is leaving he must be going back to FNC?
j.wer 12 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Last night on the 10pm show Christine Park sat along side Ernie. She never said she was in for Dari. Makes me wonder since they came to Fox 5 at the same time, and their contracts are both up for renewal.
NewsMan 0 Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Last night on the 10pm show Christine Park sat along side Ernie. She never said she was in for Dari. Makes me wonder since they came to Fox 5 at the same time' date=' and their contracts are both up for renewal.[/quote'] I guess Dari isn't full-time at 10PM yet when Ernie & Dari were off on thanksgiving, Christina & Reid said they were in for Ernie and Dari.
TellyGenic 33 Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 When Rosanna moved to the morning shift, it was announced that Dari would be filling in for her only "temporarily". Maybe they've decided to move Dari back to the 6 and finally put someone else with Ernie....
rtmclaug 70 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 The New York Daily News did an article on Sal Marchiano leaving WPIX, and it mentioned that WWOR anchor Harry Martin would handle the 6 pm show. Harry has been in NYC for many years, and I think he's a great anchor the times I've seen him. But, I think it's a little much putting him on two different stations at once. What do you guys think?
NYNW 0 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 When you get as little air time, you take what you can get.
TellyGenic 33 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Was the official announcement ever made about Rick's departure and/or Harry Martin's doing double duty? Can Rick go back to the Fox News Network now?
IceManNYR 240 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I don't know about going back to FOX News. I don't see why they would let Todd Conner go only to bring someone back.
TellyGenic 33 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Any update on this? Is Rick still on at Fox5? I'm never home at 6 to watch it. TIA...
RGSJenkins 435 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Any update on this? Is Rick still on at Fox5? I'm never home at 6 to watch it. TIA... He's still there at 6.
TVNewsWatcher 6 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I guess Harry Martin, is a go... http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv/2009/01/16/2009-01-16_newsman_martin_will_cover_lots_of_territ-1.html
TellyGenic 33 Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I can't believe they sacked Folbaum but kept that mewling Darri Alexander....
SuitSnob 19 Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Harry is a chronic bottom button-buttoner! He should be DEmoted, not PROmoted! That aside, they should use the chopper to deliver him from station to station...think of the publicity!
Vlad 333 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I have a huge feeling that this thread will become just like the "Linda Church Moving to Weekends" thread, lol.
NewsMan 0 Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 It was not Rick's decision to leave, He told me. "that they didn't have enough to pay him at FOX 5". He is looking for a job and won't be leaving the Biz.
TellyGenic 33 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 It was not Rick's decision to leave, He told me. "that they didn't have enough to pay him at FOX 5". He is looking for a job and won't be leaving the Biz. I hope he finds one soon - either local or back on network. He's a lot better than some of the "talent" that's still on the air.
rd7242 0 Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Fox News confirms to TVNewser FTVLive's report that Rick Folbaum is rejoining FNC later this month. He left FOX's WNYW in January

"i'll be doing that, and a lot of other things. i'm very excited. my first on air shift is wed the 20th, filling in for jon scott. i'm fillin in for jon wed-friday and then the entire next week for bill hemmer from 9-11 am eastern."
