Paducah/Cape Gireadeau

1.WPSD (Hardly anything is still, all moving. Package is dated, still the best.)

2.WSIL (Generic, doesnt get used a lot. Improve your L3's and you would be awsome.)

3.WQWQ (Generic CW, but nice.)

4.KFVS(Raycom, dear god. Will it get replaced?)

In O-Town...

1) WFTV (GO. HD. Need I say more? ;D)

2) WOFL (The newest Fox O&O to go O&O. From what I can see on MyFoxOrlando, the L3s look...dare I say it...banging! ;D ;D ;D ;D I'm gonna watch the 10:00 and see more! ;))

3) WESH (HA/Hothaus [in house] hybrid, with L3s reminiscent of the A/B Pak Era)

4) WKMG (Barely moving L3s, but still decent)

Indy:

WTHR -- Technically the best, very well executed, frequent tweaks so always fresh

WRTV -- But I actually *like* WRTV's better, subjectively

WISH -- Horrible. No subtlety. Lots of white backgrounds. No depth.

WXIN -- The Fox O&O look, which has too much dead space in it.

In Buffalo:

WGRZ--Very basic but consistent across the board

WKBW--L3s and OTS are okay...full screens are inconsistent though, weather GFX look bad

WIVB--looks like low-market material, especially their L3s and weather GFX (they're #1 in the market though)

Apparently this was before the new graphics, and set. Here's what i think after the new set, and GO package.

WISH- New GO package

WRTV- These are okay i guess, same McGraw Hill Stuff

WTHR- 168 made these, and i think they're a little bland, especially the L3

WXIN- Yuck. That's it.

Here's the best graphics in New York City

1. WNBC (They're in HD of course!)

2. WWOR-TV (Close to HD)

3. WNYW

4. WPIX

5. WCBS-TV

6. WABC-TV (Becoming HD)

WWOR becoming HD? I would expect WNYW and WPIX before WWOR.

1.) WNBC

2.) WCBS

3.) WPIX

4.) NY1

5.) WWOR

6.) WNYW

7.) WABC

I never said WWOR was becoming HD, I said their graphics like the open were close to HD.

Peoria/Bloomington:

-WEEK 25

-WMBD 31

-WHOI 19

-WYZZ 43

The top three are pretty close, 43 is just kind of bleh. 59 is just WEEK logos.

Decatur/Champaign/Springfield:

-WCIA 3

-WAND 17

-WICS/WICD 20/15

Most of that area's graphics are just kind of meh. 3's are probably the best done. WICS/WICD, the logo just kills it. The "Circle XX" logo only looks good on certain numbers/fonts. 15/20 in the font they use looks bad. The rest of the graphics are nothing to write home about, either.

In Atlanta: :D

  • WAGA
  • WGCL (Close!)
  • WSB (They NEED to get those new graphics on air, instead of using them for just promos)
  • WXIA/WATL (Gannett. That's all I need to say.)

In New York:

  • WABC
  • WCBS (VERY Close)
  • WPIX
  • WNYW (They're just out there.)
  • WWOR
  • WNBC (Meh. I like the new open, though.)

KGTV - they tend to get creative with their Hothaus graphics in their promos

KFMB - starting to get Overrated they are due for an update, 5 years old now

KNSD - everything was fine with the O&O look until they changed the L3's

KSWB - its okay, would be nice if this Tribune station picked up the O&O look

XETV - they could do more better with their VDO look. twinking lights in the graphics makes it look all holidayish

KBNT - looks fine for a Univision Affiliate

KUSI - i dont like the mish mash - Weather graphics, L3's, OTS, Double Screen all dont match.

XHAS - terrible graphics. even a novice graphic designer can do more better!
