Here's a complete 1982 WGN newscast with John Drury from 1982 with INN. This was Drury's last stint at WGN before he rejoined WLS in 1984. He started out as an anchor at WBBM in the 1960s, moved to WGN, then WLS, then WGN again, and then spent the final 18 years of his career back at WLS.

Love that they restored the footage quality. I like how dim the old lighting looks, everything in the HD era appears so washed out these days.

Here's a WRGB newscast from 1983, when it was a CBS affiliate. It uses the same theme as KOA-TV (now KCNC) in Denver and WNGE (now WKRN) in Nashville had around.

That's probably because those three stations were sisters, owned by General Electric at the time.
