KPHO, Phoenix, 1986:

This was actually a replay of the 9:30pm newscast that aired right before the sign-off, which can be found in this vid:

Also among Mr. Pannoni's uploads today, a full WZZM newscast from 1989:

Plus, take a look inside WTVC in 1983/4:

It's the WTVG Noon Report for September 18, 1981:

If you like news music, this is a 🌩 moment: it suggests a potentially different history for WTVG. Clearly this music went with the "13 Strong" theme — the ident has the same three note signature.

13 Strong debuted when WTVG was WSPD-TV, either in early 1977 or very late 1976. WSPD-TV is listed as a Peters Productions client. Did this music come from them...and from then?

I am not for sure about this, but I do know that the music in the WTVG open may have also been used by KOLN/KGIN in Lincoln/Grand Island, Nebraska in the mid 1980s. You can watch this video at 10:28 and hear that WTVG music being used in a news close that aired during 10/11's first late news of New Year's Day 1985.

It's 4 Sure—ahem, no, it's for real.

KOLN is ALSO on the Peters client list. They debuted the 10/11 Strong moniker in 1977 with this ad, which is pretty darn Peters-y.

WLBT Channel 3 (NBC Jackson, MS): 10 P.M. late edition from around May '84 (owing to the reference to Raymond Burr's 67th birthday, among others), w/Bert Case, Maggie Wade, Michael Rubinstein on sports, and Steve Raleigh weather

ETA: one story has a reporter outside a Circuit Court in Meridian, MS with a microphone for WLBT's Meridian satellite station at the time, WLBM Channel 30 (that one is now a standalone, WGBC, according to WLBT's Wikipedia entry):

Also, here's the ID from that newscast:

If you go to https://www.youtube.com/user/davelexky, you can check out some rare WDBJ and WTVQ videos. And while you are there, you can check out some news stories and newscasts posted by former WTVQ and WDBJ anchor Dave Winters dated 1979 through 1981. And let me tell you, you are in for some good stuff.
