Here's another, more recent clip from POP TV in Slovenia, featuring that Gari theme we discussed above. You can hear a fairly long cut of the close beginning at 3:30:

Now I'm even more confused than usually am: ;) I noticed that the close (at 3:30 in this clip) has been listed on Southernmedia's NMSA as a cut from "Eyewitness News". Do I understand it correctly that the close is EWN, but the open is a custom/production Gari theme? This would help to explain my earlier confusion.

Here's another cut of the close (at 2:27):

Its amazing to see that American music packages are actually used internationally, funny how most of those videos are gone, yet most American news videos still remain, lol.

What is the name of that package? I like it, very similar tone and style to Eyewitness News. I don't see it on their website. I guess its probably available to only international channels. The cut at 3:30 is definitely a cut of Eyewitness News. But I don't what package or cut the beginning is, it could be an "International" version of Eyewitness News.

That "package" has no name, it's part of the Gari Production Library

As you may have noticed in the International section of these forums, POP TV introduced a new look this week, and the station's Gari theme music got a slight makeover. Here's a YouTube clip:

From one of the clips linked to by Fox2 in the Australian TV thread, here's that country's Nine Network using I Love Chicago, Chicago My Home:

From 1987, here's the news on Portugal's RTP1; the music heard in the open is a cut from Gari's Turn to News, right?

From 2007, here's another clip of Puls Raport, the defunct Polish newscast that used Gari's Eyewitness News:

New Generation 2 to be exact... I wish I had that package.

I wish I had any packages period.

KABC still uses NG1, don't they?

Yes, eventhough they have both. They used a more modern cut of their current theme from NG2 in their opens briefly in 2007.
