  2. Update We now know what it will be... 10 News+. It will air at 6pm every Sunday-Friday and will begin on June 30th. https://www.facebook.com/10NewsFirst/posts/pfbid0yxkG8er3aVTpLtcCcjRYKieenvJ65XsYMpCuyv64hKLdF1qTe13oTjZQd5E9veVTl
  3. I was just checking out the graphics, and I'd say I wish they had not but the KUSI logo in a white box. If doesn't look great.
  4. Update Abilene Christian University (ACU) has allowed KTXS to utilize its facilities to help set up a temporary newsroom on campus. https://ktxs.com/news/abilene/abilene-christian-university-opens-doors-to-ktxs-after-severe-storm-damages-station
  5. While I'm happy for the desk, oh man the rest looks low budget... I'm holding out hope that those cut outs are temporary just for this ad...
  6. Wow they finally killed off One and Only that was the sound of KUSI! At least they didn’t go Aerial….
  7. The news broke during their 10pm newscast, so nothing was planned (but there will be tomorrow). This one hurts badly. The weather community will mourn greatly. He, Tom Skilling, and James Spann have changed the game forever, and Gary will be missed for generations to come.
  8. Today
  9. New music too - from The One and Only to Canvas by Stephen Arnold (WPLG is the last station with The One and Only now iirc) Today was their first day with the graphics/music on their newscasts, but they did debut this about a month ago: Their new opens haven't debuted yet as of writing this, but I'd imagine they would probably look like this
  10. Paul Deanno just announced KCAL finally gutted the old CBSLA studio and it’s now the 6th station in the O&O group to get the AR/VR set and will debut tomorrow.
  11. It's a good open but my goodness is it long
  12. I never understood the appeal of concert series. Even as news junkie kid/teen I thought they were weird. Honestly surprised they haven't been canned altogether by now.
  13. Australia ABC's Q+A is on Winter Recess. Today, we've learned its not coming back. The show has been axed after 18 years due to budget cuts at the ABC. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-06-11/abc-panel-show-q-a-discontinued-after-18-years-on-air/105400400 Separately, it will enhance its Your Say initiative and expand the production of news documentaries. https://www.abc.net.au/about/media-centre/press-releases/abc-announces-plan-to-discontinue-q-a-boosts-news-documentaries-/105402622
  14. Looks like kusi got the wish tv graphics lv_0_20250610214355.mp4
  15. You're not wrong; outside of political news ABC's enterprise and investigative journalism has gone down the tubes for true crime sleaziness and 'feel-good' stories which end up not being that (people having to pay lunch debt for instance, a thing that should not exist). A news organization shouldn't be doing trial re-enactments with paid actors like they're doing now with the Sean Combs trial; that's stuff for People and Court TV to do.
  16. Looks like ABC is taking notes from 20th's former cousin in the news space. Please don't attack me. I had to say it.
  17. Yesterday
  18. Honestly, with ABC’s full capitulation including terminating reporters still dedicated to facts and truth due to criticism of this president smells of authoritarianism. How can ABC News maintain any trust? And worse, Shari Redstone seems intent on settling his bogus claim and destroying CBS News in the process.
  19. Repeat :
  20. Nice bowing down to the Convict-in-chief, ABC. This just put the rest of the news division and the O&Os on notice about criticizing this petulant man-child and the cult members in his administration.
  21. Update: fired.
  22. It's not too often you see carpeting in a studio. Usually it was the news desk and stage pieces, but not the floor itself. That could be a maintenance headache unless they have a good cleaning crew. Usually the studio floor is concrete and either painted, tiled or veneered for easy cleanup and durability for movement of sets and equipment. But the sale of their "old" studio (only from 2018) is likely a cash infusion that can shelter the owners from the challenges of broadcasting, especially as an independent owner.
  23. Doing well or not, the series is still happening. The first concert will close the Times Square studio. The 2nd won't take place for another 5 weeks, and will be in Indianapolis at the WNBA All-Star weekend. Locations for the remainder of the slate were not announced. https://www.goodmorningamerica.com/culture/story/gma-2025-summer-concert-series-lineup-122417396
  24. Debuted today at 11. Apparently also a new weather logo on a modified open (the same one that woio wanf and kfvs use) debuted Screen_Recording_20250610_151347_Samsung Internet.mp4
  25. The Weather Channel asleep at the wheel very surprised they didn't have live updates for that outbreak on Sunday in TX, OK, AR, LA or was that only on streaming app. I know unless there were moderate risk days out on the weekend, they just will not have coverage on the weekends, I think when there is nasty weather most just watch the local TV stations as they stay on it when there is a tornado or damaging wind guest of 70 to 80MPH+. I checked many times to see if TWC would have coverage of the nasty storms on Sun but didn't was just there regular lineup on Sun. I hope that Byron Allen sells TWC and the new company will at least care when an outbreak happens.
  26. I believe Disney will sell it. It's prime real-estate. Concerts on GMA aren't doing well, they were having difficulty finding sponsors over the past few years. Suspect that the series would be trimmed down.
  27. I'm surprised that it isn't sunsetting in West Michigan but South Bend it is sunsetting, I thought Indy would be included looks like that is still active. Glad to see that CHSN did get a deal done with Comcast for those in the Chi market.
