I forgot that Se Kwon was in this wave. I like Moreno, though not so much as an anchor. Scafidi should be doing weekend mornings, not middays. Not a slight, just seems better for her vibe. I like Buganski as "some guy," but yeah, I'm trying to figure out how and where he slots in that makes most sense. Sylvia doing just the one show now makes me wonder what her/their long-term plan is. Even without a late co-anchor, they're feeling just a bit bloated. Jackson, Premus, Ponce, Bomke, Ewing, Lee, Scafidi, Blanton, Perez, Hasbrouck, Buganski & Moreno (unofficially official) on Friday nights, plus Hamilton & Placko.

Big changes for Altitude Sports next season on the Nuggets broadcasts with PBP voice Chris Marlowe & analyst Scott Hastings out. Hastings will still be around keeping his 2nd gig as a host on Altitude Sports Radio 92.5's Polumbus, Hastings, and Dmac early afternoon weekday show from Noon-3 MT. Katy Winge & studio host Vic Lombardi will stay, wouldn't be surprised if Katy becomes a full-time game analyst. https://www.denverpost.com/2026/06/10/nuggets-broadcast-chris-marlowe-scott-hastings-fired/

The Fubo-NBC dispute is over. It should be noted that the new deal includes the current NBCSN and doesn't include the Versant networks: https://ir.fubo.tv/news/news-details/2026/Fubo-Announces-Distribution-Agreement-With-NBCUniversal/default.aspx

Sounds like it. Liberte made her debut today:
-
Toolis was a 2 year and done that came here from Seattle. Nothing bad but nothing special either. She is a south side native so that’s always a plus when they are local.
-
CBSMV is developing a new daytime talker for fall 2027 with Jonathan Scott.

Again it seems the "fix" was in on this approval. Word came down from the WH, and Carr was all too eager to comply.
-
Toolis would actually be the 5th reporter(/anchor) they have hired recently. I’m glad they have finally decided to beef up their roster of reporters. Also, Dane has shifted back to primary focusing on investigative reporting it seems (in addition to anchoring Saturday nights). He rarely makes an appearance during the week. The new hires have been a mixed bag, imo. Kwon and Moreno are solid, but Buganski and Scafidi are meh.
-
That contradicts what happened - how can they say they lack standing when the board didn't approve, when the transaction is "done"? The FCC is trying to make up rules on the fly?

KCST (KNSD) Newscenter 39 1978 coverage of the crash of PSA flight 182 WWOR UPN 9 News 1995 News theme and package
-
Lauren Scafidi is permanent from 11-1. Two new hires, yesterday, as well. As Cassie & Tina moved up, Sam Panayotovich (WGN Radio, Fox Sports) joins as the third-stringer. Also joining is reporter Brittany Toolis (WXYZ) as a morning reporter, thus filling out the 4 reporter hires we knew were coming (Buganski, Moreno, Scafidi).
-
Looks like Marla Tellez no longer anchors the 6pm and 8-10pm LA LIVE, she anchoring new streaming shows at Noon and 3pm
-
Chicago's Morning News almost sounds like the newscast WGN titled back in the day.

Nexstar, FCC ask D.C. court to toss legal challenge over TEGNA acquisition Here's hoping the court disagrees.
-
As today was the announcement, it was quick to see that today was also it for him from full-time work. His whole family was there to celebrate him plus longtime former WBNS anchor and community director Angela Pace also stopped on by to celebrate Dom, her first appearance since being laid off by TEGNA.

Now I’m worried about Christine? I’m watching the video right now. Maybe it’s best tv news anchors, reporters, meteorologists remain apolitical as a conservative myself it even gives me the ick. Even after there retired keep that to yourself I’ve seen retired personalities reveal there political views and I look at them differently after, maybe it’s just me because they did a good job hiding it all these years, but the moment the open up I get the ick. This is coming into a perspective for me I used to get enamored with local news personalities, have crushes on them pretend there my imaginary friends because I had some loneliness and validation issues, but I’ve realized like my mom said that just a curated persona I don’t know these people maybe it’s best I don’t either nor meet these people. But the bottom line I’ve learned is I can’t get close to these people they could be racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, anti-Semitic, horrible people who harbor these views and probably support people like Chud the builder, or agreed with January 6th rioters, and are just like the types of people they report on. There just civilized, go to work and take care of there family, and tolerate there female and minority colleagues but in there hearts they might be awful people. If you follow me and my posts on this forum my attachment to these people almost spilled onto here about a meteorologist, this video I will bookmark this video because I need a reminder, I’m not saying they’ll all this way. But some of them don’t hide it on air.

I just hope he doesn’t become a me me me like his successor. Hopefully Christine can shine, she been underused every male co anchor she has been able to be a leader never her.
-
He was on standby in New York when Tony's crew had that incident in Taipei.
-
Matt Gutman filling in this evening. Has he done so before? Did he ever fill in on World News Tonight when he was on ABC? Blatant speculation with nothing backing this up, but I can bet Gutman is on the shortlist if and when Tony Dokoupil fails.

This is something only WRAL-TV CAN do. I'll be watching it once its available. WRAL looks as the increasing deserts of local news across North Carolina which looks like the rest of the country as well in a new half-hour doc. https://tvnewscheck.com/journalism/article/wral-documentary-examines-north-carolinas-shrinking-local-newsrooms/

Al Roker stopped by his old stomping grounds at WKYC Cleveland today. Considering his personality, it went as well as you expected.

Unless a white knight steps in, WSRE is still slated to lose PBS programming on June 30th. As far as I know, the WSRE foundation is still fighting for independence from Pensacola State College, who owns WSRE-TV itself. They could realistically resurrect WSRE's PBS programming on another channel if they had the ability to do so. Another possibility could be Florida State University stepping in to run/buy WSRE and relay the programming from Tallahassee's WFSU that's repeated on WFSG in Panama City. That station only reaches to Fort Walton Beach, while WSRE picks up coverage from there all the way into Mobile with their transmitter located near the others in Baldwin County Alabama between Mobile and Pensacola.
