  1. Ken was on today, so was Bill Evans.

  2. And the weekend sports anchor a couple weeks ago, plus a couple other departures of relatively long-tenured talent in late 2015 -- reporter Shelton Green had been there for close to 20 years, and 5 PM anchor Jim Bergamo had been at KVUE for few years after first coming to Austin in the early 00s. I think they've lost more years of experience in the last eight months than some of the competitors have in total.

  3. Even worse is ABC cut out 4 of the commandments...so now there are only 6 left. Spoiler Alert: Thou shall not kill was killed.

  4. Probably because doing something local is smarter business than not...

  5. I stand corrected, I follow one of their new reporters on Twitter and he tweeted the two new promos that're supposed to start running this week.

  6. Bill was solo at 6pm. I see Lori was on in the morning as well. Wonder if Ken was there too.

  12. I don't like it either but I have to wonder if it really matters. Morning shows seem to be more personality driven than anything else, so their probably seeing this as only a good thing.

  13. Just watching the Saturday AM broadcast. Gotta say, whomever assembled the team of Michelle Charlesworth, Rob Nelson, and Amy Freeze is damn smart. Their instincts in combining news gravitas with a lighter, less intense, Saturday friendly tone is spot on. As much as I'd love to see them all in weekday anchor slots (especially Michelle), I cannot imagine starting the weekend with others.

  14. A somewhat of a rarity regarding programming on 7 tonight. Tonight is the airing of The Ten Commandments on ABC, which the network will air at 7pm/ET. That's no rarity. But the rarity is that WABC is pushing the movie one hour later to 8pm, because it's schedule to air an hour-long Auto Show special at 7pm. That means (because of the length of the movie (with ads)) the late news will be aired at 12:44am!!! I don't think I've remembered the station airing news this late, and it didn't involve a sporting event.

  15. The real abomination is that version of the Circle 7 they use. Woof.

  16. To go with WBBH's "take" of Look F, sister station WZVN got an actually not too bad version of KABC's old/KGO's graphics. It's clear that Fort Myers, besides the Fox station, is a market full of knock-offs.
