I don't recall, but in all likelihood, she probably has filled in at least once (or more) before given she's been there since the 80s. Even though she plans on cutting back, she may fill in at 5P more often. An extra 30 mins. now and then wouldn't be asking too much.1 point

Piacente is going to have his hands full when he starts next week. I could see him making this new newscast his pet project (which wouldn't be a bad idea). They really are going to have to offer up something drastically different to draw viewers in. Best of luck to them...1 point

Now Feder is saying this morning that WFLD could be implementing a new 5pm newscast this summer. Should this come into fruition, this would be the last Fox O&O to implement an early evening broadcast.1 point

No, no. I like multiple teams on an evening slate of broadcasts; my station of choice mixes and matches 6 evening anchors across 5 broadcasts. However, I think if a station airs a full hour at 4, 5, 6, whenever, the same 2 anchors should carry the whole program, and not switch one or both out halfway through.1 point

30 minutes shifts on 60 minute broadcasts bugs the crap out of me. Are they separately-branded broadcasts (not that that makes it any better)?1 point
