It certainly is an EQ Vance package. The fonts and dotted background in the talent intro confirms it. BTW, does anyone ever get TVbD and EQ Vance's mid-late 90's work confused for their similarity?

Some WTEN news clips from 2006 - not sure if this was after they ditched Chris Clausen and Primetime News as the open is clipped - I do notice the L3’s are from the “Momentum News” era though... Also this was taken about a month before Terry McSweeney left the station to go back out west.

Good point! The The Who clip is from 11/82. The KOOL News 10 set is still standing at that point, with the italic 10 removed. So that theory is out. However, it is from the TV10 News era and perhaps this was a secondary set for a weekend? newscast. The listed date of October of that clip makes it definitely from that period (newspaper articles suggest it signed on October 18, 1982). The Sunset 10 is on the lower third graphic — it was introduced immediately at the callsign change.

I think I remember @Weeters posting a link either in here or in the shoutbox. The link was from one of those old broadcast engineering magazines that were manually scanned. The magazine discussed the different types of construction of the studios and facilities. The magazine had pieces about WPVI and I believe WCAU. It also had stuff about WBAL and WMAR (where I learned that the dome on their building is a raydome)

To have 2 males co-anchoring a newscast today is quite rare IMO.

So today Lori Stokes threw shade at WABC.. Rosanna and Lori did an interview with Ivana Trump and after the interview they were talking about how Ivana mentioned self worth when it comes to money.. Lori goes and if they don't give you what you want.. you show em who's boss... hmmmm thought it was funny

The KCST opens are cool, but that KGTV open (4:10) steals the show for me. News 88 pre-TVbD (the clips are all from September 1987), with graphics that clearly derive from ...I know we've seen the open set before, but a very cool mix there either way.

I plan to add a KXAN open from that timeframe to that newscast (with a fade to black) and will update. I was disappointed that the open was chopped... J
