  1. These posts make me think about who could "reunite" in the north TX market. The group that goes back the farthest that's all still "with us", would have to be WFAA's Tracy Rowlett, Iola Johnson, Troy Dungan, and Verne Lundquist. I very highly doubt that WFAA would do that kind of thing next year (their 70th), especially since they feel that Tracy Rowlett's departure was a salt-in-the-wound moment. The other stations don't have any group that goes that far back or more without someone who's passed on. So, cheers to WBZ!

  3. Folks, I've contacted WBZ-TV and they told me that the 11pm reunion newscast will not be streamed online at CBSBoston.com. So someone, please record to DVR it tonight.

  4. Thank God all those democrats running for office in 2018 will be boycotting the Sinclair stations by denying them those vital campaign ad dollars. Right??? That tactic would suck Sinclair dry in no time. #democratsboycottsinclair

  6. Probably they'd use the Edd Kalehoff theme. That would be great!

  8. Changes at Bloomberg. They are instituting a metered paywall on their website. If you want unlimited website access you must pay $35 a month!! That's more than the WSJ and NYT combined; and costs the same as some cable packages. Plus they are limiting you to only 30 minutes of free BloombergTV streaming (unless of course you pay) https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-05-02/tesla-projects-end-to-cash-burning-era-as-model-3-gains-traction

  10. Does anyone think that FOX 29 will likely make changes to its evening newscasts and hire new anchors and replace the current ones and do you think that more changes are needed to fix their news operation?

  12. For ads run by candidates themselves, FCC rules require stations to accept those ads if they make time available to at least one candidate in the election. If it was a third-party ad (like a Super PAC ad), the station could decline to air it, but in this case they have to accept it. If a station fails to comply with the rules for candidate-run ads, the candidate could file a complaint with the FCC and they could issue a ruling requiring the station to run the ad or the station could get fined.

  17. http://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2018/5/3/crossing-the-street-in-nashville FTVLIVE.com is hearing iconic anchor Demetria Kalodimos is in talks with WZTV/FOX 17. I was thinking she would be in talks with WTVF as 5 &10pm anchor or WKRN her and Mueller together giving Nashville a strong. As Holt & Mueller been together for a long time. Sinclair has gotten talent from competiting stations in markets. WSYX was able to get WBNS castaways to come on down the road. As well many folks at WKEF in Dayton were able to get folks from WHIO.
