  1. It's about time we get to see some old stuff from KUVS, Univision 19. Circa 1999.

  2. Here's why I haven't uploaded news open compilations in the last two years. I used Wondershare Video Converter to edit and publish the videos; the application, however, was increasingly having audio/video syncing issues during the publishing process, which is why some of the later uploads and re-uploads had audio that was a few seconds off. My laptop's hard drive also crashed last December, and has been in the hands of a friend of a neighbor of mine (the latter of whom referred me to him to get it fixed) for repairs since then. Hopefully, I'll be able to get it back sometime this summer, and if a reinstalled Wondershare cooperates or I can find a similar video converter software that can sync video and audio properly, I'll add new compilation uploads to the YouTube channel.

  3. Well, the FCC greenlighted Gray's KGWR/KGWL deal under the condition that KGWC donation to CWC gets consummated (either concurrent or afterwards). FCC greenlighted the KTWO deal to Legacy. But the KFNB/KFNE deal is still pending as of right now. What I didn't understand throughout all of this is that they'd used a low-power station (KYWF-LD) to count with the rest of the full-power stations in Casper, in the multiple ownership compliance part of the application. I thought LPs didn't count. Only full-powers.

  4. Silly question: Was WNT ever aired live at 7pm est pre 9/11 or would that have been an affiliate decision to air it at that time and have an local hour at 6pm?

  7. The same could be said for the website. (Not that Meredith's other stations' sites are much better. Most of them still have the same design they had a decade ago.)

  8. Next batch from KJRH! If you’re wondering how I make these compilations I use screen recorder on my iPhone. Then I put the clips together on iMovie and edit them down, pretty easy. Though it is annoying when some videos’ volumes don’t work, or when notifications keep popping up while you’re recording... Also I’m planning on targeting other areas too, like Baltimore, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and even Phoenix, which I’m sure will grab @Ramona’s attention...

  9. You should update your compilations once you get the chance. Nearly all of the videos you have currently use new opens by now.

  12. I would space it out a bit...expect some EP's and dept heads to get "the visit"...lop-off talent in 4 month intervals with completion by June 2019. I would make a list... But it's a little close to home now... Maybe I'm becoming a softie.

  13. As we close out the week, here's a WTAE 11pm newscast from November 21, 1991. In the memory of Joe DeNardo.

  16. Pittsburgh Television weather and the City of Pittsburgh will never be the same without the Dean of Pittsburgh Weather... Joe DeNardo... you're irreplaceable... you're a quintessential weatherman... and when we look to skies tonight and when on sunny days and stormy nights; we see what's happening in the weather... Joe Said It Would. RIP Joe DeNardo and Godspeed. Thoughts and prayers to Joe's family and the entire team of WTAE Action News 4. http://www.wtae.com/article/legendary-wtae-chief-meteorologist-joe-denardo-dies-at-87/21550800

  17. WorldNow/Frankly just needs to go away ...like 5 years ago. They've become the new Internet Broadcasting System (minus the channelX0000.com sites. The thing that annoys me to the highest heaven is how distant stories are badged LOCALLY by Google searches... For example, if a Trader Joe's opens in Nashville and I'm googling it in Pensacola, then I'll get a search result from FOX10TV.com with the WSMV.com story seamlessly integrated into the WALA site. If it was a generic story, my hopes would be up thiking Trader Joe's was opening locally (when it happened in Nashville all along...)
