  1. They probably forgot. They will probably remember sometime next year and mabye they’ll at least get a new news desk while there at it

  5. Yes, thank you. In fact, cause she appears at 4:11, I’ll mention that Sue Nigra is currently working at a program in Johnstown, NY called Transitions, which is a “college experience” program for people with disabilities. I’ll be visiting that program this coming weekend for a possible opportunity after I graduate high school. And I’ve also gotten a playlist started in Milwaukee, too: Did the 1985 open that features John McCullough accidentally saying “Good night” get taken down? Shame if it did.

  6. Well then... get ready for 7-9am and 10pm news on WPXT.

  7. This makes sense as WMTW & WPXT are currently roommates, yet aren't duopolies not allowed in Portland, ME. Should this go through, would Sinclair acquire WPFO?

  8. Hold your horses WMTW 8, is this the return of a 10pm news on CW Portland WPXT since they ended news agreement with WCSH. That was Maine’s first 10pm news BTW during its time with Fox and then The WB. We could have a double whammy for primetime news. The Westbrook studios will also mark the return for Channel 51 since it shutdown its news department. Let’s hope it will be a price.

  9. My guess is that they'll either phase out the news reader role in favor of three coanchors, or they'll drop back down to two co-anchors after Paula's replacement is chosen. Either way, I think we'll see five, not six.

  10. That promo looked more like it was for a lifestyle show than it was for a newscast. I think that's where channel 3 goes wrong. I've found that while Philadelphians like relatable news personalities, at the end of the day they still want a decent straight newscast.

  11. WRAL morning/noon co-anchor Jeff Hogan is in a Wilmington NC-area hospital recovering from serious injuries he recieved while body surfing at Wrightsville Beach. Hogan recently joined WRAL from WBNS to replace Bill Leslie who recently retired. https://www.wral.com/wral-anchor-injured-in-beach-mishap/17733142/

  12. Speaking of KSTP, I don’t know if anyone posted this, but former WTEN meteorologist Greg Pollak recently joined KSTP’s sister station WNYT. Guessing Craig Flint didn’t like Albany... Also WNYT has updated their first warning weather app to feature the new logo, and the very stiff portrait shots they took for the talent bumps have been added as well...

  13. A little more on Colleen Henry from the Journal Sentinel (no painful Gannett autoplay on this one); her husband beat some pretty aggressive cancer and they're off for well-earned relaxation in Puerto Vallarta. Her loss is big for WISN, but they have so many veterans and prime talent there that will take the baton in her absence and honor. ETA - Even as she got a salute at the end of the 6pm show, she was still working a story in the top of the show about kids abandoned in a car at a local casino, doorknocking and confrontation of the kid's mom and all. Gotta have massive respect for still putting in good work on the last day! ETA - Here's said valedictory in full; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=jcFh8N6aSUE

  15. Suki is one of the absolute worst television news personalities in history. Right up there with KTLA's Chris Burrous. Stacey Baca is Walter Cronkite compared to them.

  17. Megan Kelly is on vacation this week and Savannah Guthrie filled in for her today and I have to say she did a really good job. She is much better fit for the type of program, then Megyn. Savannah can easily switch from a serious story to a lighter one, in a very believable way.
