  1. Does anyone know why the first half hour of last nights news at 10 wasn’t on? I watched until about 10:20 and they were playing the special - The Big Ideas from last year, 2017. I flipped back to 5 at 10:45 and Steve and Dari were on. Why the delay?

  3. That's a pretty far cry from the days when people on forums were begging NBC to buy the station and make it good again. Good work, KPRC.

  4. WRAL in April 1988. Can anybody ID the music? That package is much more extensive than what the NMSA has. That close at the very end...whoa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=1LCgVY0YfjA;m=4;s=17

  5. And currently Morgan Murphy’s been doing NOTHING with them lately. Seems like all they care about is WISC... Next up... Louisiana’s NewsChannel!

  6. True... KFMB's slogan was "Right Here, Right Now" when they were using Impact.

  7. A few months ago a January 2001 WBTV newscast popped up using “Right Here, Right Now”, long before KFMB debuted it (they still had “Impact” as late as July): From what I’m guessing, possibly WBTV commissioned RHRN instead of KFMB.

  8. Great job! I was on that channel yesterday watching the WPXI montage and when I refreshed the page an hour or two later the WTAE montage was up.

  9. Since a hijacking in Paris was the lead story in that clip, here's that evening's national news from Antenne 2 in France:

  10. Finally I get the chance to post something here again! I've been trying to jump in, but all the videos I've wanted to submit were taken by others! Anyways, here's the intro to the ABC Saturday News (not to be confused with the ABC Weekend News which aired on stations after their late news or before sign-off) from May 20, 1978, taped off KVUE in Austin:

  11. I'm not passing judgement on the network's quality -- but it's a digital subchannel that you always get on satellite, which is a big chunk of viewers. Number two, it's likely buried on cable in most markets. Three, the demographics aren't exactly 25-54.

  12. I think KFMB commissioned the image, if not the news too - it's possible that 615 was syndicating it before KFMB started using it.

  14. WRDQ will be in a separate compilation. They had more than WKCF anyways, I found out. After Pittsburgh/Orlando I might do Fort Myers, rounding out all the major markets in Florida. I still want that WINK 1993-95 open that got uncovered on this thread, if anyone can find it please send it to me. I also chose Fort Myers because it’s one of the only markets nowadays that has all of its “Big Three” stations owned by local companies. Though hopefully WBBH/WZVN don’t get gobbled by another company since Bernie Waterman passed on... And speaking of Pittsburgh, KDKA has a mean history of pulling off any videos related to them on YouTube, so I’ll have to be wary of that...

  15. Can't wait for KDKA/WPCW and for the Orlando ones... can't wait for WKMG and WOFL (actually, its just been uploaded) too! I noticed that you didn't include the WRDQ opens in the WFTV compilation when you did include the WKCF ones in the WESH compilation.

  16. KPRC is first in the mornings. (And most of the rest of the day now, too.) Then KTRK. Then KHOU and KRIV fight for third.
