  2. WTSP also did that "Getting Out Alive" gimmick in the '90s featured at 18:55 with Dale Schornack.

  3. One would think a former lawyer, of all people, would be able to clearly articulate a point (whatever it may be).

  5. Ah, now I remember seeing that on NMSA. I presume WLS never used it on any regularly scheduled newscasts?

  6. KUSI was fun to watch during the late 90’s. It was also ahead of its time with a 7pm newscast, 10am and noon. All now scrapped. It was a wacky yet hard hitting newscast. But now it seems like a train wreck! They even had some good talent and alumni. Misha DiBono Stan Miller Christine Bellport Susan Lennon CS Keys Alan Frio

  7. One of the worst and stupidest slogans for a station I have ever heard. It shows that Scripps is like Sears.

  8. Viewers..left mad. They DON'T LIKE NBC NEWS and The Today Show! This is the worst any kind of network have performed at this stage since 2000. Hoda and Savannah, should move to Fox News! The promotion was a BAD IDEA. There's no more viewers on NBC because GMA and CTM is still tracing neck and neck! Carson, has a bright future in this industry... to leave the morning program! His biggest problem is he can't travel back and fourth.

  9. I agree. They were way better in the late 90's. I don't care to watch these days and I wish Sandra Maas was somewhere else, not there. I can't even bring myself to watch Carlos in the morning though I loved him on KTLA. I still watch them in the morning.

  10. Fox 29 will never be relevant and be successful in the ratings as long as 6 and 10 are around doing news. 29 has a lot of issues they need to fix with their news division .

  13. You would be correct. For some weird reason, the "Cool Hand Luke" soundtrack didn't have an election theme.

  14. Is that CBC's 1970s The National theme being used in WLS's election open (at 4:15)?

  15. I have to wonder what this means for Brad Johansen - who was hired to replace him. The station is responding to folks asking about Brad on Facebook rather ominously... :

  16. And because of her inartful nature, the cynic in me starts thinking that she's trying to sabotage her own show. She couldn't and can't be that tone-deaf, FFS.

  17. This is not surprising in the least. Just another idiotic statement from her to add to the list. Heck..this doesn't even come close to her all-time classic ..'Santa can't be any other color than White.'

  18. Yep really. "Tampa Bay's Streaming News Leader" ? Sorry, I prefer "Tampa Bay's #1 News Station." That's why I prefer WTVT.

  19. WFTS has updated their open. It now includes the slogan "Tampa Bay's Streaming News Leader". Don't worry, they're still using "Taking Action For You".
