  1. The few times I've watched CBSN (mostly back when the 10pm show on KBCW was still a thing), the slight misalignment between the bug and lower-third bar drives me crazy. Can't believe no one has fixed this yet.

  3. The music used during the headlines teaser is pretty good. Though the headlines preview is a bit long, the soundtrack builds drama, urgency and anticipation.

  4. Chris and Mary were back together in Studio 46 as of late, but starting on Monday, Mary has been home and Chris is solo in Studio 46 (Elise Finch has been at home since the pandemic started, with her home chromakey). Chris tweeted that Mary traveled out of state last week and is self-quarantining, per New York State guidelines:

  7. So follow-up. The former owner of Estrella TV is about to take WLII WLII Caguas, and its satellite outlets WOLE Aguadilla, WSUR Ponce & W21CX-D Mayaguez is being sold to Liberman Media Group for $1M. Liberman Media Group is ran by Lenard Liberman. He was the founder and former owner of a company that its now known as Estrella Media, after it emerged from bankruptcy late last year.

  8. Feels like another hour of copy and paste. Nothing special but stupid antics and no news related after 8:30 am. I see the 9 and 10 am shows gone in a year from now as how an extra hour is going to help the station again. The 6:30 pm newscast with Kaity Tong and Brenda Blackmon lasted only 8 months (January - September 2016) as it did not helped the station to its expectations. Lets see in the coming months if this extra morning hour was worth to budget.

  9. A market size does not determine a step up or step down. How much happier (or unhappier) you are with your professional life, personal life, living conditions, surrounding environment, your income vs cost of living and the opportunities available for your family determine whether a new job is a step up or step down.

  10. And moving to L.A. is a step down too because it's Market #2? They're really not. Moving from New York to another city doesn't automatically mean your career is screwed - especially if you chose to take it. Some TV personalities have become legends in even lower markets.

  11. Chicago is a step down it's Market #3. Chicago, of course, isn't a dump! His parents live in the NY area - which leads me to believe a friend's speculation that the move isn't his choice.
