  1. How great it would be if we had anything like Headline News today. Just news, no opinions, debates, or sensationalism.

  2. Basically, stations like WDLI exist in license-alone, since the spectrum was sold by TBN in the auction, and the station was physically merged onto WVPX's spectrum. Get rid of the extra license, and you can now legally have a duopoly with WEWS without endangering cap space. I'm pretty sure the Inyo deal was a stopgap in places like Cleveland where this situation existed, and the "triopoly" was in fact the shared spectrum of the former TBN station in license on the main ION station, plus the existing Scripps affiliate.

  3. Ahhh, the CNN Headline News I remember. It was where America could watch a 30-minute national newscast every half hour 24/7. World and National news that was ready when WE were. While we were having breakfast, on our lunch break, after dinner, before bed, whenever! We knew what was going on (across the country and around the world) every chance we got during the day EVERY DAY. That's just not the case anymore

  4. I don’t think they suddenly have an issue showing legs. They still do it later in the show. Wonder if the change is related to something else happening. Hopefully it is short-lived.

  5. More CNN Headline News from its golden era. This block aired May 24, 1988, and the start of the video has that copyright bumper I've been looking for for years.

  6. Most of our vehicles are unmarked, though we can add magnets as necessary. We used the blank silver SUVs (as opposed to our usual red) during the summer protests and told reporters to leave the branded shirts and jackets at home.

  7. This move reinforces that the Ion transmitters are acting more like a national digital multiplex licensee in a European-style DTT system than anything that exists in the US. About all that's missing is one national channel number.

  8. Found this gem, that I had been looking for YEARS, in Mike Parson's YouTube Channel. This rare cut of KNBC's LA Groove Theme used for closing the Channel 4 News weekend.

  14. As said many times before it's too local news. The graphics are okay but could stand to be less flat with a lot more shine and gloss. As for the evening news theme I wish they'd bring back either the Dan Rather theme or the James Horner theme from 2006.
