  1. Larry was off today, and with threats like these, he might never come back.

  2. Just because something shows up on someone's demo reel or portfolio does not mean they created the entire thing from scratch. If there was some "rule" that you could only include stuff you made 100%, nobody would be able to get a job.

  3. So... They're going to "make it different from other morning programs" by adding more giant video walls just like one morning program (Today), and moving to the same neighborhood as another (GMA).

  4. Ben Bradley posted to social media that WGN anchors have been given the all-clear, starting with the midday news today. And then there's this way to announce it...

  5. This is not accurate. She was brought in as a freelancer at KPNX after they parted ways with their art director long after the launch.

  6. WABC has never been big on shuffling current anchors around unless there is a very good reason (such as when Diana Williams retired). The main focus there now has to be on looking ahead. Bill Ritter is close to 70, or might be there already. Whatever main anchor changes WABC makes will be with an eye to having an heir apparent on deck. Joe Torres isn’t far behind Ritter, so it isn’t likely to be him. WABC names anchors who will be around for a few decades, not just a few years.

  7. The LoConte Goldman Design also did the 1997 rebrand/graphics package for KTLA5 in collaboration with the then newly-found Linda Kane Design (LKD), she brought in the Boston-based design firm for the news opens and bumps whiles Linda did the design and production of other components. The 1997 KTLA5 Redesign (when they started branding themselves as "L.A.'s WB") garnered them 7 BDA Awards including 3 Silver Awards and one of which for the Total Package Design. http://web.archive.org/web/20000818195119/http://www.lindakanedesign.com/lkdbio.htm

  8. So the past couple of days (haven't watched the news in a few weeks) I've noticed a new area where the anchors present and was kind of shocked. It looks like they got rid of their stand up area completely and put in almost floor to ceiling screens. It's way better than what they had previously. I found a video from Michelle Relerford's Facebook page from a couple of days ago that shows it not in use behind Patrick Fazzio. https://fb.watch/5CWcQP1K1b/ Also another video of the same area in the middle of April before the upgrade. https://fb.watch/5CWJZ_Cpam/ Now if they could just get a new desk their whole set would be completely upgraded from the 2012 debut.

  10. Yeah the WABC anchors are really humble and have always been class acts. The people of Eyewitness News have always been amazing. I really am starting to also like Josh Eineger's reporting style. Would be interesting to see how he is in the studio. Today is the day Social Distancing and Masking does not have to be done in New York City for vaccinated people, I wonder if they are following suit with that rule or if its still the 6ft rule etc.. Did anyone catch a broadcast today?

  11. Another to add... LoConte Goldman. Work includes the original Hearst package in 1995 and WTKR's 1994 "TV-3 News" look.
