On the Eyewitness News Briefs, you can now spot 3 different ABC7 logos and 2 different websites in a matter of seconds.

First glimpse of the new ticker. Also, my CBS affiliate is airing the WCBS ticker for some reason.

That's likely done in-house. Doesn't have any of the telltale flourishes of any of the major firms. By the late 90's AfterEffects was available to most individual stations' art departments.

I’m watching the Tulane/Oklahoma game and the ABC bug is still the old logo. Promos for shows in the bottom right uses the new logo. The bug on the left is the old embossed logo.

I'm not an Eyewitness News junkie. I'm a very casual ABC7 news viewer. To me, it is not important. It identifies WABC being an ABC station,. Mission accomplished,. Most viewers probably do not notice the bug to begin with.

I really can’t believe Disney spent millions to rebrand ABC and came up with a logo that looks like a middle school student’s intro to graphic design project.

Also …. CBS now has a Black woman, a Greek man and Black man who was a former NFL athlete all anchoring a morning show in Times Square. Sound familiar?

WLBT looks more like Giant Octopus' work at the time (WBNS, etc) than Cinemagic. Cinemagic had a very unique high-gloss style.

KLAS veteran Gary Waddell has died of a heart attack while battling COVID-19 in a Las Vegas hospital. He was 77. According to the linked article, he was fully vaccinated but suffered a breakthrough case.

Not directly a broadcaster, but it's big enough in MN that competitors are covering the death of former WCCO Sports Anchor Mark Rosen's wife after a long battle with cancer.
