  1. There are so many things that I think about this, and so many ways that I know this will go wrong.

  2. How is this not 2/9 Newscentral all over again?

  3. Not a flattering capture here nor the best picture they could have used in the background. It looks like this team was sent packing, lol.

  4. I don't like the changes on KCBS & KCAL not one bit. The expansion, I'm alright with it (if the ratings are good). But KCAL CBS News Los Angeles... NO WAY! I wish the CBS (Television) News & Stations leaves the names as it is like CBS 2 News and KCAL 9 News. I would be alright for CBS 2 Morning News and KCAL 9 Morning News as well.

  5. Considering one hour of the KCAL morning show will be simulcast on KCBS at 6am every day, I think that’s the likely route they’re going.

  6. What is this absolute nightmare of a brand? Where are your eyes supposed to look? How much of this mouthful is going to be used on air? "You're watching CBS News Los Angeles This Morning on KCAL." "KCAL CBS News Los Angeles This Morning starts now." WUT.

  7. I really don't expect anything til the new year, period. Any of the 4 male anchors just might get late news airtime, but more because of the holidays, and less because of auditioning. Cheryl's level of chemistry with Rob, Ravi, and even Mark, is already known, and if it gets to the point of Terrell filling in, she'd probably already be off, herself.

  8. I was speaking more to helicopters during tornadoes but now that you mention it you’re right.

  9. When did OKC become such a hot spot for pursuits?? I’ve just noticed a ton of videos on YouTube from KOTV these last few months. Radars have some utility. Storm chasers have absolutely none in most markets. They don’t have the skill to actually use them as they’re intended… but they look nice in promos and parades!

  10. Eh, radars are actually useful in dead zones, the problem is the stations with money to get one aren’t in dead zones lol. Also, in OKC and LA helicopters are clutch.

  11. TBD? Who watches that channel? All I see on there are stupid YouTube videos. Don't kid yourself. 75% of the interest and hype about sports has ALWAYS been about gambling. They're just making things formal now.

  12. Like the 9am newscasts that launched in September, there's still no guarantee that the full look will roll out with this launch. Let's not get too ahead of ourselves.

  13. As long as dumb companies keep putting their stupid money into sports gambling efforts (even as Fubo tapped out and Gannett's Tipico partnership bombed) and Bally needs stuff to air without paying Jimmy Hanlin and Natalie Gulbis to show off Putt-Putt courses, Stadium will be fine.

  14. Oddly enough there’s a way to get a kickback from the FAA if you maintain your helipad as a designated emergency landing zone. Only shows the lack of effort on WTHR’s part.

  15. Looks like a metaphor for what TEGNA has done to WTHR (and WBNS for that matter) since taking over. The Dispatch stations are just SAD under TEGNA.

  16. Why tear up a helipad even if it's dormant?! Knowing Tegna they'll just keep it a gravel pit because they can't afford to landscape it.

  17. News from Indianapolis: The WTHR Helipad is no more. Chopper 13 is said to have gone away around lockdown. For those keeping track, all the Indy stations do not have a chopper.

  18. No guys, not a new package. This is just the integration of the CBSN New York package into all newscasts.
