This Shared Services/Local Marketing Agreement structure of side-care station ownership has been an overarching theme over the last ~decade in the consolidation of station ownership, mainly with Nexstar and Sinclair as the culprits. The FCC has seemed disinclined to prevent this market manipulation, though I would have hoped the Biden Administration had taken a firm stance and unraveled these blatant violations of the ownership rule.

Lol, this commercial is coming from WPRI in Providence. The city of Providence itself (along with the rest of Rhode Island) is served by Cox. Comcast only transmits WPRI in Massachusetts, and they also carry WBZ out of Boston everywhere they carry WPRI. If this station goes dark nobody will be missing CBS programming in Massachusetts.

I know its holiday season so there's different people filling in however I thought todays pairings were interesting: 4PM: Rob Elgas & Judy Hsu (normal) 5PM: Terrell Brown & Karen Jorden 6PM: Terrell Brown & Judy Hsu 10PM: Terrell Brown and Judy Hsu It was Val and Tanya this morning. Diane Pathieu filled in for Roz. Has she previously filled in on traffic before? I wonder if they'll use this time to test pairings. I've never been a fan of Cheryl Burton. I don't care for her style. However Terrell and Judy was a surprise and a good pairing.

This is getting confusing - the two Chucks - Scarborough (WNBC) and Henry (KNBC)!

My first thought was...Good lord!! Between the illness/death of Chris Bradley four years ago this month, and then the Mike Davis scandal and now this...another sign that the once-mighty 10TV has fallen on hard times. We might need to hold a séance and reach out to the legendary "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes so he can cut a new version of his classic promo just for them...

I'm pretty sure it was the fact that Jenny was probably pretty low on the totem pole a KFMB as far as getting in the anchor chair. At that time they had Stella in the chair, with Neda and Heather (though she was doing weather) on the side lines. And they already had Marcella behind Barbara Lee. Everyone is young enough to be in their roles for a while if that's what that want.

I'd like the logo better with the white border (those colors will get camouflaged at some points in promos.) I really don't like the new font.

Not a fan of dropping the white fill. As very clearly seen in NBC's own promos, feathers get lost depending on the color scheme. Might've been better served to make the feathers bigger and lessen the negative space.

I don't normally cheer for a blackout, but Nexstar has had this coming to them for a long time. They invented this game, and if they don't play by the rules they're about to lose big time.

A few WBNX updates..... Decades (and WBNX 55.6 itself) are no more. The subchannel has been moved to the now-Weigel owned WOCV-CD (which was the remnant of the old WAOH/W35AX "CAT" network) on their primary feed. WBNX still has Movies! H&I and Start TV. VUit is also streaming the main WBNX feed on it's service. It appears to only be available to viewers in the Cleveland DMA (much like Syncbak used to do with local newscasts on mobile devices) It's the first time I've seen geofencing on their app for a particular station/channel.
