  1. In case you needed an updated exaggerated and catty Post update on the Michael Strahan/Kelly Ripa 'feud' with GMA's upcoming move to Iger, here you go. Oooh, they have to share an elevator and they might see each other, this is the most oppressive workplace outside the Kremlin .

  2. the studios were all built with flexibility in mind — meaning they could easily be shared (like Tamron & The View) and used for other things besides a show that airs just an hour each weekday excluding holidays and hiatus… as opposed to EWN, which is on 7+ hours a day every day.

  3. One of the dumbest things I’ve ever read. Has there been anymore to the reports that Strahan is set to exit the show this summer?

  4. Hearst was among was the "least worst" as I recall. EDIT: Spectrum also drew compliments.

  7. $17/hr starting rate but asking for a Bachelors degree. You can get that at Dunkin Doughnuts. I recall a news reporter group page on Instagram asking posters what the worst company they've worked was. To my surprise, Sinclair was the second most common response after Nexstar. Not hard to see why.

  8. They began airing 5pm talent opens when the new graphics debuted last year in January 2024. It’s the first weekday 5pm talent opens to air since Diana Williams retired in September 2019.

  9. On NFL Draft Night, I wanted to check out WFRV's 10:00 Newscast. Not only is WFRV's Streaming App (as in Roku and similar Streaming Players) unavailable, their web site does not stream Newscasts (not even with Nexstar's "infamous" two hour delay)!! The anticipation of the Rest of Nexstar's Stations joining the Streaming Player App World is building up greater every day!!

  10. When did WABC start doing a 5pm talent intro? It’s nice to see and they used to only do the talent open for First@4 and 6pm but no 5pm.

  11. I just noticed this on their Facebook page. The font looks different and no CBS eye. KWTX might be the next with GrayONE soon so keep an... eye... on them (see what I did there? )

  13. If anything screams '2000s imagining consultants imagining what the kids like', it was their branding the most at that time; "43 The Block" remains on the hill of worst station brandings above "JoeTV" and that short time KWGN was "The Deuce". "Cleveland's 43" is a signal that there are finally adults in the room.

  14. It looks like WROC-TV Rochester is finally going to be adding some weekend morning news as they're currently looking for a Meteorologist for that position. However, the pay... is why this company is shitty. https://nexstar.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/nexstar/job/Weekend-Morning-Meteorologist_REQ-35993?fbclid=IwY2xjawJ1ZMhleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHtb8PHwrm3XKLq5d5TSHZxFpbu4u4AuQPYD5-6u4Hx1YvdCcucbT76kob-JB_aem_WTtZJA7HUrxCnfo6fFmuUQ

  16. ‘Good Day Seattle’ (Fox13) has a new opening/look. If it feels familiar, it’s because it’s very similar to Fox 32’s ‘Good Day Chicago’.

  17. Not sure where the fight stands today but Nexstar's cheapness is part of the reason WROC employees were attempting to unionize.

  18. Sounds like Gray is in that category as well if Nexstar and Sinclair are worse.

  20. Yeah, and it looks like based off of this, he'll be involved with network coverage of the funeral of Pope Francis late tonight/early tomorrow morning along with fellow anchor from sister West Coast flagship KABC (Los Angeles) David Ono, which makes some sense & even more worth ABC sending them out to help the main network out with coverage. https://deadline.com/2025/04/how-to-watch-pope-francis-funeral-online-1236375052/

  21. I'm curious what the thought-process was when it came to designing each program's set. Aside from the WABC set (which is great), all the others are pretty ho-hum. Because WNT shares their space with both This Week and 20/20; I get not wanting to do something too different because it could effect the overall look/feel of all three programs. And from what I hear, the new GMA set/studio is a step down from the Time Square set/studio. We shall see...

  22. Getting some afternoon White Sox games shouldn't be an issue. Trying to air a handful of Bulls and Blackhawks games would be very complicated. All three teams are pretty bad and I'm not sure it's worth the effort on WGN's part unless the idea is air local sports regardless of a team's performance. Would there be a big enough financial return at the end of the day???
