  2. Those of us of a certain age remember two male anchors were used uniformly on all 3 major networks O&O stations in NY. Considering low viewership this time of year, viewers may not have noticed nor care. It's fill in season for most broadcasts.

  4. actually they can't give away WPLG, assuming the public data of the BBH-Graham 2014 deal is accurate. That was a tax deferred swap, selling WPLG would trigger anywhere from $150-$250 million or more in deferred capital gains taxes. To avoid triggering taxes selling to Nexstar will be another complex deal, could happen just almost not worth it At this point there's more benefit to BH letting WPLG decay

  5. The more I look at it, the more I like it. Especially the "Evening News" in CBS' original and iconic font. It communicates, tradition, resilience, heretage and experience. Basically, this might communicate the program to prospective viewers in a way that might make a splash.

  8. NBC Nightly News reporter Rehema Ellis is retiring. Realizing how long she was at the network, I had a feeling this move was coming soon. I love her deep warm reporting voice. Excellent story teller.

  9. Nexstar is replacing their VOs across the whole group, opting for a cheaper agency of talent, and possibly even some AI voices, at some point.
