  1. Indeed-- if you're billed as talent in a major network station's local newscast (regardless of your function), you need to look like you take pride in being there and part of it (would have been worse if the shoes were dirty).

  2. not to be nitpicky, but the talent open with Dale Yurong wearing a suit and tennis shoes?? very tacky. I understand the need and most wear tennis shoes that usually aren't seen on camera, but in promos and opens, come on put on dress shoes to look half way decent and professional

  5. Did the sponsorship really have to be mentioned in the OPEN? I'm almost certain that's a deal sales worked out for extra money. Cheapens the product right off the bat. That kind of stuff should be limited to commercial bumps.

  11. This will be sad when it happens. Justin Warmoth, longtime anchor at WKMG, will be signing off at the end of the month after a 13-year run there. He's leaving to pursue a new career, more likely outside of TV news, meaning his entire career, from 2013 to 2026, was spent at just one station: WKMG. January 30th will be his last day. And yes, Greg continues to hold the legacy tradition of a Warmoth on the anchor desk in Central Florida for a few more years to come as he'll continue on WFTV each weeknight now that he's doing four hours of news with Martha (4-6:30 and 10-11:35pm). https://www.clickorlando.com/news/local/2026/01/19/wkmg-news-6-anchor-reporter-from-orlando-signs-off-after-13-years-of-service/

  13. Well at the end of the day all local news stations are really just two formats, Action News and Eyewitness News with the vast overwhelming majority of local tv news stations in the country adopting mostly a blend of the two formats. Here's a ChatGPT AI explanation:
