  1. Breaking that “Weeknight” trio up is a risky move. Their chemistry is exceptional and has been since they were on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Bummer.

  2. Glad they decided to think outside the box when it came to election night and I wouldn't be against them taking this approach moving forward. The days of being on for hours and hours on election night are long over.... They really should think about utilizing the newsroom like this more (breaking news, special reports, etc...).

  3. Most likely answers are coverage area and terrain, as both stations start with W they are licensed to communities on the Illinois side of the market which limits where there transmitters can be located if they are physically in Missouri. The second is also terrain, while not in the mountains, Greater St. Louis has a hilly topography that also limits how far a low power signal can travel.

  5. Brenda Blackmon paying tribute! Another legend I wish were still anchoring. Wish another station picked her up after she left PIX 11. Especially Fox 5.

  6. Ernie Anastos truly left a lasting mark on New York journalism. His work at both ABC 7 and FOX 5 set a standard for storytelling and professionalism that few have matched. The discussion here reflects on his career and influence, showing how much he meant to viewers and colleagues alike. May he rest in peace.

  7. Ernie was still well known by younger generations aparently. Even the "New Yorker" IG page was posing about him. He looked really great at 82!

  8. I'll say the one relevant thing left for celebrity shows is that they are a reliable source for celebrity gossip unlike many online bloggers. Stefon Diggs and Cardi B breaking up sounds more reliable coming from Access Hollywood than some blogger. Because the situations on Maury (likewise with daytime court shows) are evergreen. Are one of these 6 men the father of my baby? is a timeless dilemma lol. Talk shows however rely on current events and guests promoting current projects.

  9. I really wonder what's going to happen to the CW, MyNet and independent stations, since the trash talk was a staple.

  14. I wonder if this means that WOOD-TV will lose their creative services.. I kinda hope they do, ONLY because their graphics package kinda sucks, especially with the implementation of the Roboto fonts... It looks very dated for a Top 50 market.
