Most, if not all Storer Broadcasting CBS affiliates did not think highly of the low rated CBS Late Movies, but they did like the option of showing syndicated fare like "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" or "Fernwood2Night" (and of course, sell the ad time therein). This left CBS to shop the late movie to other stations in such markets so the eye's ad sales team could sell "nationwide" coverage to national advertisers.1 point
