Not sure how Weigel comes back from this. The story/alleged allegations are very troubling. Side Note: I went to a taping of ‘Later with Leon’ last Thursday. Very intimate setting (maybe about 12 seats total for audience members). And yes that’s Robin Robinson (former Fox 32 News Anchor) with CPD Chief Johnson. She works for the CPD these days.

In the Instagram post, he called Yiannopoulos his friend. Ultimately, people are judged by the company they keep.

There just goes any credibility the network had with one of their anchors(?) hanging out with that guy.

FuzzyMemories doesn't mess up dates. That said, this documentary from 1968 (still WBKB) uses FRWL, so I'd guess that's what they used going back to at least the launch of the Flynn-Daly EWN branding. Yeah..I’ve only watched a couple of episodes. Short of becoming a Fox 32 employee, this is/was the only opportunity to see the set in person. The lower level (where the studio, newsroom, etc.. are) is pretty cavernous you could get lost if you took a wrong turn. Overall, everyone was nice and welcoming. This caught my eye on the way in/out. They display photos of everyone (from the GM, Account Reps., Anchors, etc.. in no particular order) which is pretty cool. Apparently, you could wear whatever and pose however you wanted.

Milo Yiannopoulos is kind of a token queer on the right. He used to be with Breitbart until he made made some off-color comments about sex under-age. Then everybody cut him loose. With Shepard Smith being your avatar, there's got to be a joke in there somewhere. From what I've seen of their product, it's not really far right. Of course, I can't get the TV station there on anymore because they have such a crappy signal. Milo was kind of like the Richard Simmons of Breitbart. Just enough of a flamer to be entertaining but not so much to turn people off. Kind of like Elton John in a way, without the talent.

Completely off topic (but it’s TVNT so ) I have no idea why Bill St. James hasn’t been used by local stations as they look to replace CVD.

If I had to boil it down is because they have a staffed hub, that works with designers (if it’s not in house) and everything is based on the same VizRT platform. The latter alone saves them a lot of headaches as they can design one asset and push it to all stations. CBS and Sinclair just to name two all have stations running different graphics hardware. They literally get the files I believe in After Effects (or whatever format) and are told to make it work. That’s how you get some mish mash of bad iterations of relatively good packages. As for CBS from what I’ve heard on the board and elsewhere it’s essentially WCBS commissioning a new package that gets shared down the line (right @Weeters?)

TVNZ in New Zealand is cerebrating the 50th anniversary of the national network news. Before NZBC's four main TV stations were linked, all news was locally produced. That all changed in 1969, as this report from Seven Sharp explains:

Who would be acceptable to be seen "hanging out" with? Milo probably takes 500 selfies a day, with all types of people. Would you approve if it was Rachael Maddow? Most tv types who spend all day in the field are gonna have photos and selfies from all kinds of newsworthy folks. Some group of pointy bearded types? Or does the viewer decide?

@Eat News no offense but when Milo appears in a selfie with the news anchor for a far-right news diginet, that's generally a bad sign.
