It's the GMs decision about when/if to launch that... Part of the business integration process. I feel that, though, the Dispatch layout is superior and I think both GMs have that opinion as well.- 3687 replies

Their performance is the result of strong profit margins, but not better content. You can still be profitable and not provide any value to anyone other than current shareholders. They aren't providing a superior product, just lower costs. So did KUSA, finally.- 3687 replies

I, too, am really skeptical of Kim, but the facts are clear. Tegna's stock is around $10 a share. They posted strong first quarter profits but are still furloughing workers. Management continues to make unpopular decisions and they continue to undervalue their top 20 assets. This is a huge issue for shareholders. While it may make a sweet deal for any potential M&A who see what the raw station assets can be spun into, it means persistent undervalue of station employees. This is the biggest thing that drives me crazy about capitalism. Put your employees first and everything else will follow.- 3687 replies

Short sighted? That's the long game. They are switching to a pure-play content creation model because distribution is no longer lucrative. -

Uh, Apollo? Allen Media? AT&T is conflicted, so that's out. And yet, CBS is looking to spin off their entire O&O television group. This is what the ViacomCBS merger was about. -
No. This isn't a knockoff. It's a standard. This is like saying WNEM's graphics are a CBS O&O knockoff because it's the same package. Fox stations around the county use this logo we call it the 'Fox Box'. If you're going to blame KXPI for using it, then blame the dozens of other Fox affiliates who've used it as well. I will point out that the biggest inconsistency here is '5' font.

It's not a full-time gig though and costs the stations money. Also with the map technology available, anyone can create a traffic report. It's better to offload it onto someone with fewer duties.- 3687 replies

Ew. Alright. I'll have to check that. My issues tends to be that KMGH has terrible interference on 7.1 and although it has a stronger signal on 30.3 (KZCO-LD), not all of my systems will see that signal. Though strangely, I get KKTV and I live in Douglas.- 3687 replies

There is something I'm generally confused about. Why was the Fox deal only approved with the sale of the Fox RSNs? Fox owns FS1-3, and though it wasn't included in the deal, the RSNs could have been a great side-car for ESPN. Since FS1-3 and ESPN are cable nets, I can't see why the FEC wouldn't have approved the RSNs sold to Disney as ESPN RSNs.

They informally rotate. There is another partner which would be Newsradio KOA, who's licensed to my hometown ironically. https://denver.cbslocal.com/2016/06/20/john-morrissey-colon-cancer-screening-koa/ https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2020/1/14/grounded-in-atlanta

It's a 2003 Eurocopter AS-350 AStar (single-turboshaft). Tail Number N6UX. It has an internal name at the local stations. If I read you into it, I'd have to kill you. I don't make up the rules. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/N6UX Interestingly, the Bell 407, tail #N2QU, that's currently grounded for WSB-TV, used to fly in Denver under the tail #N90TV for KUSA.
