That's not a knockoff. That's the real package. They just don't have Gotham installed on their CG machines.
WNEM is the real deal? No!! No it isn't.

I personally thought WNEM would use KOAA-TV’s Scripps knockoff since the former knocked off Scripps itself.
I REALLY don't like that version.

Enjoy....
Those graphics are bland and so boring! Fox Television needs to invest in better visual product, like the Fox Sports network design.

I wonder where they got these transitions from...

I keep forgetting to upload these, but I did a Scripps survey months ago, they were testing talent for a new version of The Now.
EDIT: I can't upload the other files, somehow they are too big. Pretty much they were testing a couple other talent. Pretty much more greenscreen ala The List.
Uck! Adam Hammon in front of green-screen. Duuuude!

Happening right "Now..."

Not shocking. I see the same fate for DBL.

Okay? We were talking about Cox stations.
You're right. My apologies.
-
It's likely that package was designed by Renderon, the same company that did the Scripps package.
It fits their style.
A few people have contracts with Nexstar (as acquired from Young Broadcasting stations). RenderOn isn't one of them though.

How has WISC's knockoff of the Scripps package not come up?
I would argue that in some ways it's a prettier package than the Scripps variant. The royal blue really works in their favor.

The morning themes sound like they want to be A New Wish...
It was always junky and I'm glad it's going away.
A New Wish is made up of recycled NBC Tower cuts that never made the end package.

Is it me, or does it does it sound a bit like Strive?
Not saying there's a connection.
Oh my god! Yes there is a connection. You have a good ear. I can only say more privately, if you want to PM me to know more.

I think it's supposed to be a rip-off of the Ch-8 in Fort Bragg, CA that used to do some news way back in the dark ages.
Psssst...
Nobody in Northern California says "Norcal". Yes, it's acceptable to say "Socal" when referring to all counties south of Santa Barbara....not to be confused with "Soquel" located in Santa Cruz County.
Just like no sane native Californian would ever say "Cali".
Hollywood screws everything up.
Except my family who are from Pleasanton, CA.

It was just an expression but thanks for the grammar lesson.
Well, to be specific, it's not an expression. That's the point. Don't join a news forum if you can't understand basic colloquialisms.

ABC and its overexaggerated style of reporting.
Overexaggerated... It's either exaggerated or not. Overexaggeration is not a term.

I'm not in support of the merger, but I will say one thing about the commentaries from Sinclair - at least they don't make it look like it's a part of the newscast - different graphics, theme, look, etc. If you like the news on Sinclair's Local 37, but don't like the commentaries - perfect time to visit the crapper, walk the dog, or whatever makes you happy.
To that point, is there some common time that the must-runs must be aired? If I were the GM of one of their stations, I'd air it on a digi sub at 3am.

John Oliver targets a niche audience - liberals who pay extra to watch HBO. His monologue only resonated with them... and no one else.
Dude. He posts these on YouTube.

Boris has responded. Here now, the "rebuttal":
First of all. I've never seen a worst teleprompter reader in my life. No wonder this man never became Press Secretary. I hear that Sean Spicer is available to replace Boris and he'd be welcomed to.
Terrorism is nonsense. Terrorism is an emotion. It's like having a news desk for Happiness. But when have you seen profit made in the aftermath of happiness? This is fear-mongering to get people to misplace their judgement and get an advantage.
Truly these are attacks and it wouldn't sound as good if they noted every mass shooting that has happened versus perpetrated by certain minorities.

So the Tegna departures just keeps on rolling. Looks like Vanessa Ruiz is not the only one who's leaving KPNX.
Scott from FTVLive stated that Investigative reporter Wendy Halloran, Meteorologist Matt Pace, and a producer who've worked at channel 12 for five years also gotten the boot.
But the station has hired former KGTV personality Kristen Keogh as their new weather anchor/general assignment reporter.
Also Kim Christiansen will replace Adele Arakawa at KUSA's 10pm broadcast when Adele retires. The date of Adele's departure have not been announced yet.
Blah! No thank you! I wish Bazi Konani hadn't left. I am not a big fan of Kim. Keep her in the 4pm only.

I'm not sure about Television by Design creating the 1995 'camera' graphics. It's still a mystery knowing who made it.
LoConte Goldman Design made it. Now Maria LoConte owns LoConte2.

KXTV rolled out a new name for news it seems.

Evidently now we have a local version of Last Week Tonight.

http://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2016/11/9/scripps-to-get-new-ceo
Scripps is getting a new CEO, and like in some Scripps newsrooms, it's the person who's currently overseeing "Digital".
So expect more digital crap to make it's way to the TV side.
Can anyone say Cracked weekdays at 4?
