  1. One of those teasers ended with the Rather/modern-era signature. Whether of not they update it again, we'll see, but there won't be a return to the Couric or latter Pelley-era themes.
  2. Ratings-wise, WFLD is still in 4th or 5th, depending on the time of day, but their product is absolutely fine. There's not one bad station or tough watch in town. They've been more ambitious in terms of creating other sports & documentary content. WBBM has a strong evening team, even if the morning news feels like a steady stream of temporary patches. WGN is obviously strongest in the mornings, with solid teams at all slots. WMAQ is always solid enough, if not too memorable. Again, a strong evening team, but not a lot of quality depth on their weather, sports, and female anchor benches. As for Chicago's #1 News, a non-sweeps period has made Goudie's absence less noticeable, so far, while their only other obvious talent hole is Cheryl Burton, but that's nothing new.
  3. We're purely going off the implication that he might not be done. Retirement is entirely possible.
  4. Agreed on WMAQ, and while I think WBBM would be a good fit, they can't afford him. NewsNation is an interesting proposition, because I don't see Nexstar spending the money just for WGN. WFLD is my betting favorite, right now.
  5. And in the wake of said parting, Liz Nagy & Mark Rivera are both being referred to as I-Team reporters when they do the 6pm Goudie duties.
  6. Based on that Charlesworth post from 1/6 (that you responded to), it shouldn't be for a couple more weeks.
  7. I'd say we wait until when/if Sheinelle returns, for either of those questions.
  8. Might want to go back and do a little editing to better sell your opinion.
  9. Liz Nagy from WLS is headed out, too. KABC also had a KTRK reporter assisting, last night, in addition to the help from Fresno and the Bay Area.
  10. Because it was very obvious these weren't Carter-specific graphics. This isn't hard.
  11. The animation:
  12. It sounds like Chuck exited in a pay dispute. Not necessarily any bad blood, but just couldn't meet in the middle. Meanwhile, devastating news for Roz Varon, as her daughter died last week after a brief, undisclosed illness. Sara basically grew up on the morning show, and had gotten married last year. By my count, I don't think she was even 30. In the 9 months since Roz's retirement, she's gotten divorced, Sara and her husband moved across the country, and now this. Just terrible. She says the station will mention it later in the week.
  13. They teased the 6 o'clock news coming up, at the end.
  14. 5:30pm, it appears.
  15. She had another surgery, according to Bill Ritter. This didn't need its own thread.
  16. Putting it bluntly, the New York contingent on this forum has the tendency to be a mind-numbingly aloof echo chamber.
  17. Just a lazy oversight, there's another tab further up the page that's also had it wrong since day one of the web refresh.
  18. Bill confirmed on socials that Sade is recovering from a surgery.
  19. That's Lissette Nunez, most recently of WNYW. She debuted sometime last week, but has appeared all over the schedule. Not sure if she's full-time, part-time, or even a holiday fill-in.
  20. Based on social media, she was very pregnant back then. She'll probably in the new year.
  21. Last I knew, yes. Marza moves from AM to PM, on those days. All of this is ahead of next year, when Ritter will likely cut down to just the 6, and Marza will fill in the gaps.
  22. Could we not have this discussion in 2 forum threads? The WABC angle to this is no longer relevant. Please keep it in WNT's conversation only (or not at all, if I'm being honest, since we know no opinions are going to change).
  23. It's a grandfathered in list thread, and serves as a convenient aggregate page since the algorithms of YouTube and other sites have made it harder to find this kind of stuff.
  24. I admittedly don't know what BPME is/was, but it's not on the forum members here to explain that. If it's important, maybe it's in the video's description.
  25. They've also been in Times Square as they rose to 2nd and then 1st place. The echo chamber of people on this forum who hate ABC News but can't stop talking about them is getting to be hilarious.
