  1. Fairly well-known. He was never quite "official" in the role, but served as weekend forecaster for the better part of a year, after Jim Ramsey's exit for DC, and before Andy Avalos was hired.
  2. This is confirmation enough for everyone. We don't need a station-by-station report on a peacock removal. From here on, said posts will be hidden. Let us know if a station hasn't changed, at all.
  3. BUT DAVID MUIR IS THE DEVIL! IT MUST BE HIS FAULT! The show was completely perfect and flawless with Diane Sawyer! Remember, David is also responsible for CBS's anchor instability, Nightly's shitty graphics, Fox's abuse lawsuits, CNN's inability to create a watchable morning show, NewsNation's non-existent ratings, and he destroyed the documents that prove Brian Williams was on that helicopter.
  4. They clearly find this to be a better way of doing the debrief/anchor toss that used to be exclusively at the anchor desk, which is largely saved for stories that benefit from some anchor-reporter crosstalk. They're never saying that the reporter is actually at the site of the story. Can't help it if a viewer is dumb enough to not understand the difference. It's really not that complicated.
  5. Thanks for mentioning it. I was gonna ask about that, too. I was in New York over the weekend, and watched maybe 5 minutes, but that was enough to see the talent rejoin for the weekend morning news. It was shot on the new set, so they're new, in that regard, but I don't know if they had them before.
  6. WITI reporter and Chicago-area native Brhett Vickery joins as morning traffic anchor. https://wgntv.com/community/news-releases/brhett-vickery-to-join-wgn-morning-news-as-traffic-reporter/
  7. I'm guessing it was a holiday staffing thing, not bothering to move furniture. I wouldn't think too much about it.
  8. Finally switching to the new logo, during a parade, 2 years after network's initial rebrand rollout isn't really a sign of anything.
  9. That change was made in September, when the syndication season began.
  10. I'm not dealing in fantasy line-ups. Sandra is 64. Joe is 60. They're not gonna be installed at the #1 team, just because of some precious belief that longtime co-anchors can't be broken up. But what about Sade? Keep her at 5 & 11, unless that evolves into something she doesn't want.
  11. If the worst-kept secret of Bill scaling back is true and coming soon, Sandra could slot in at 4 or 5 or wherever they chose, in addition to the noon. IF she's officially moving to weekdays, this is only the first step, as they plan for a post-Ritter future.
  12. Does anyone know what time he first appears on the morning news?
  13. Most CBS stations, especially the laggards, rate well at midday, post-Price is Right.
  14. After some subtle signals in the last week or 2, the news is official. Chiaverini will be sports director, effective immediately. 5, 6 & 10, Monday thru Friday. (Paywalled article, but you get the gist.) https://www.chicagobusiness.com/marketing-media/ryan-chiaverini-named-abc7-lead-sports-anchor
  15. Here's the source link: https://www.instagram.com/p/CzWdHM6Obpq/
  16. ESPN has not modified their scoreboard, for the tournament, but the NBC regionals have. (As captured on WMAQ, tonight.)
  17. If Cyle has an aircheck he'd like to upload, it can be placed here, but in the meantime, here's how it all came together, at debut.
  18. Vince Gerasole is also on that playlist, but they didn't (yet) upload Tracy Townsend & Alita Guillen's appearances. Corey McPherrin also got a shoutout, as he's also married to 2's 11am producer.
  19. For Halloween, here are some of the Ghosts of CBS News Past, in a playlist. I'll update, as more are posted...
  20. Not great, not terrible. Reminds me of WPIX, in the L3 text weight & proportions. The waving flag next to the live bug is silly, but feels on-brand, in a hilarious way. The logo in the bug is way too big. The time rotates with the stock numbers. It is "cleaner," if uninspired.
  21. We don't need updates to say that they're still in the outgoing studio.
  22. Hey, remember when Jim Rosenfield supposedly did a tryout?
