  1. Yep. It's going to be 40 hours, and will probably carry as many big news stories as it can online. Along with the usual GMA fare, and previous anchors and personalities appearing. I'm so excited.
  2. The 40 for 40 Livestream has begun.
  3. I watched GMA thia morning, and I noticed a nice little update to the set. This another one after the big refresh. It's an updated large screen display where the interview area and Social Square is, removing the metalic walls that seperate the two parts. Looks very nice. http://nca.st/P8Ys6
  4. So did I. I liked its simple design and how it contrasts from the sofa area's table. This looks small and weird. And the logo added onto it makes it a little smaller.
  5. I must say, I really like this programme. It's really good to watch for international news from an international source. And the open with the wide shot of central London and ITV HQ is simply awesome. I agree. While I like this version, the last was way better. It had a booming, serious and authoritative sound and concept that worked to the programme's advantage, at least for it's first hour and half of the 7am hour. I'm fine with this version, but I question the producers' move in changing from it.
  6. I don't know if this has been implemented earlier in the week or last month, but 6 now has a sweet time/temp bug shown on cut-in during Good Morning America. It switches between the 6 logo and GMA's with a spin. It's really cool.
  7. Happy 40th Anniversary, Good Morning America!
  8. I really like this new look, but I don't love it either. -The open and L3s look great, but are a pretty bland mixed bag for me too. While great, also look too meh to be mind-blowing or have much personality. I like the ribbons open way more than the new one (which kinda remind me of the Today open too), but the new L3s are way better than the updated L3s. -The set looks amazing, with a perfect touch of wood throughout. I do think the desk is really bland, though. Doesn't have much personality to it with just a few vertical lights and a screen (I loved the last desk more). And it really does look like that desk from years ago, which, in hindsight, looks fine to me now. But I can't tell whether this new one is a step-up or something equal with that one. But time will tell whether or not it'll grow on me. Overall, this look is great, but for now aren't amazing to me. Can't wait for the anniversary special.
  9. WHAT THE HECK, WFXT? or (How to make a really terrible logo that no one will find good.)
  10. Wow, I forgot about Juju Chang too. She was there for about two years, so it was so easy for her tenure to slip our minds. It'll be great to see her there too.
  11. I'm so excited for this event!! 40 hour livestream, many past anchors and personalities returning, a HUGE celebration to be held. I so can't wait to check it out. Maybe even see Kevin Newman and Lisa McRee on national TV again.
  12. Whatever the case (I think it's reality augmentation, too), this is a brilliant implement to the already brilliant segment and really makes it more (to use another segment's name) "Eye-Opening", attentive and amazing. I loved the "Headlines" segment since the start, but I love it even more because of it.
  13. Ummm...any reason for this?
  14. Erica Hill is joined by an unexpected partner on Weekend Today this morning: Harry Smith. It's been a long while since I've seen him anchor a program, and I'm very excited to see him behind a desk again. And my fellow Early Show fans will enjoy this. (cough Daybreak cough)
  15. I will say on Pat is that she is one of the most professional and humble personalities I've had the pleasure of watching throughout my life. She's sweet, lovely and vivacious, yet smart, tough and extremely classy. She can surely make a newscast one to watch. She and Ukee were (and still are) one of the best TV pairing in Philadelphia TV history--Their chemistry was undeniable and fantastic. Philadelphia (TV and in general) will certainly miss her. I will miss her. I wish the best in her future endeavors and in retirement.
  16. Oh yeah, I forgot. I just heard from what Erica and Nicole said this morning. Speaking of the mornings situation, it's Nicole. I'm sure it's a schedule like that, but from the past few days I've watched, Erica was joined by Nicole.
  17. When I watched the morning news, they announced that Pat's final broadcast is at Noon today. You guys should watch.
  18. Ha. I don't think GMA is going to do anything crazy to gain back the A25-54 crown. Besides, it's still the leader in Viewers. And it's only been a month--GMA probably could take it back soon. Or Today could finally win some ratings marker in a while. Give it time. We'll see from here.
  19. WHAT THE HECK, CHANNEL 4? or (How to confuse viewers by sort-of removing the same logo after 33 years of great service)
  20. Jim Gardner is anchoring the 10pm on WPHL tonight. Something we've never pictured happening is happening.
  21. I really can't stand when anchors of news programs use the words "that" and "those" when referring to a story at the top. It kinda infuriates me when they say them as if it's something really bad, even if the story isn't something bad. Even if/when the story is about a person or a thing, they use "that" or "those". Also, they don't say "the"; not more than "that" or "those", or even just as much. That's why I'm annoyed at this most of the time. Really can't stand it.
  22. ^^Great job with the video. I love this new look. So soft and fuzzy, yet so serious and powerful. After watching this the first time, I immediately loved this one more than the last one. The logo and L3s are the best parts. Really fits the tone of this new era for Muir and his program. I do realize that it does have a touch of Nightly News in it, especially in the globe map, "small loading text" and use of squares. Other than that resemblance, this is a great update.
  23. I love the logo; it reminds me of one of the many used during the Peter Jennings era and the first logo used during Diane Sawyer's run. Very simple, but effective.
  24. I love the new-look CBS News early-morning programs. Especially the CBS (This) Morning News.
