WSOC’s John Paul leaving for Philadelphia

WCCB has Maury so I figured it would go there.

WCCB is racking up this year, they are picking up Karamo, Your Day With Anna Kooiman (which is in house), Jennifer Hudson and now i heard they will be picking up The Neighborhood. I would be be surprised if they didn’t put it at 7 and 7:30 and moved Blackish to 6 and/or 6:30. If they picked up American Housewife I could see them pairing it with Blackish in the 6:00 hour and another run of each in late night.

KIAH only has one run of Paternity Court and the new show is an hour long.

Can finally confirm that Sheri is coming to WSOC starting September 12, just saw a promo on WAXN. And flipped over to WCCB and they are getting Karamo, starting September 19.

It appears Lindsay Clein has left or is leaving WJZY. I figured this was coming when Nexstar took her out of the anchor chair at 6 and 10 in favor of Alicia Barnes. She didn’t even get the noon and 4pm spot. She did fill in when Annie Szatkowski or Alicia went on vacation but was relegated to a reporter role. Hearst or NBC can take WCNC and WXIA/WATL.

My guesses: Pictionary: WJZY and maybe WMYT Karamo: WCCB Sheri: WSOC/WAXN We The People: WMYT and maybe WJZY American Housewife: WCCB The Neighborhood: WCCB (they could use something different at 7pm)

KDOC would be a logical destination if they weren’t getting sold

Or even WCCB but they don’t have any court shows. This actually could be WJZY’s replacement for The Good Dish at 1pm, could lead into Judge Mathis and The People’s Court, and/or WMYT’s replacement for The Real at 4pm (leading into the same two shows).

As I have already stated in last year’s thread, WCCB has already aired a promo for Jennifer Hudson…I think she will likely take Ellen’s 4pm time slot. Also they will air “Your Day With Anna Kooiman” at some point during the day. That is a Bahakel exclusive. Likely WSOC/WAXN will take Sheri but I don’t know for sure yet. That’s all I know for Charlotte so far.

WSBK is keeping their 8pm news and moving the 10pm portion of their MyNet schedule to 1am. I think it would’ve been easier for them to have the news at 9 and 10 and MyNet from 11pm-1am.

I would be surprised if WMYT added it at this point, can’t see Nexstar wanting it to compete with Queen City News Now.

Other than the free preview in October 2020 and a handful of stations beginning to carry Morning in America and Early Morning, they foolishly have completely ignored broadcast.

Maybe WBTV could expand QC Morning to 2 hours and move LMAD back to 3? But would suck if the game show block is split up.

Former WBTV meteorologist Leigh Brock has resurfaced at rival WSOC. UPDATE: She is just filling in. Also I’m way late on this one but Grace Grill has joined the WJZY sports team. Grace Remington has apparently left after less than a year at the station.

So with Right this Minute ending that will be another hour WAXN has to fill in the daytime on weekdays, and another 30 minutes in late night on WSOC. Also another hour on each station on weekends.

Maureen O’Boyle leaving WBTV in July and apparently getting out of TV altogether Just announced on the 6:00 news. This comes just over a week after Leigh Brock left the station.

WBTV could start a 9am newscast and move QC in the Morning to 10am if everyone moved LMAD to 3/2. Regardless, they need to start a 9am or 3pm newscast, there is no need for QC in the Morning AND QC at 3.
