  1. 4:30-7:00am 12:00-1:00pm 4:00-5:00pm That's in addition to 7:00-10:00am and 10:00-11:00pm.
  2. No and affiliates will fight this if they have to.
  3. Why can't it just be 3 News at 5:00, just like its 6pm news?
  4. NOT me. I love PIX 11, KTLA 5, etc. Local branding works.
  5. That's not a bad idea. Have two feeds, let the affiliates choose.
  6. I read in a recent article that KVVU and KTNV are fighting it out for the top dog in the market. Whoever doesn't get it ends up a strong second. KLAS is third and KSNV is just in a dog pile stinking fourth.
  7. Major ones in major markets aren't going anywhere. The smaller ones in smaller markets may move.
  8. JHud will be in Miami on WSFL-TV on weeknights at 5:00pm. That's the only one I know in SoFlo.
  9. I wanna puke just hearing that... Good Day Miami. Thank god its morning news is Today in Florida (which dates back to their NBC days). This article says otherwise saying it will return later this year. Also, WILX has Funny You Should Ask. That'll probably air since Wheel doesn't do second-runs. https://www.wilx.com/2022/07/29/wilx-studio-10-takes-hiatus-launches-studio-10-presents/
  10. Oh nice! Jim (S31MA) featured her in a recent newscast for WRSP. What a jump in markets she has made.
  11. That whole market is crazy. WBBH is 4:30-7:00am, 11:00am-1:00pm, 3:00-6:30 and 11:00-11:35pm. WINK is 4:30-7:00am, 12:00-12:30pm, 3:00-6:30, 7:00-7:30 and 11:00-11:35pm. It also does 7:00-11:00am, 6:30-7:00 and 10:00-11:00pm for WXCW. WZVN is 4:30-7:00, 9:00-11:00am, 6:00-6:30, 7:00-7:30 and 11:00-11:35pm. WFTX is 6:00-11:00am, 5:00-7:00 and 10:00-11:30pm. Yes... there are THREE 10:00am local morning newscasts in Southwest Florida. If you don't count for cable-only options in Tampa Bay and Orlando, there are none everywhere else in the state of Florida, including my own home market (Miami).
  12. NO. It has been more than a decade now that WSMV has LONGGGG started bright and early at 4AM. EDIT: As a matter of fact, everybody in Nashville that airs local news starts at 4AM.
  13. Should've stuck with more news, less opinion, but no. They decided to go the opposite way and guess what? Its now costed them ratings BIG time.
  14. I think five is sufficient. Four main on-air ones plus a fifth as a behind-the-scenes producer/fill-in.
  15. I think its them? I'm not too confident on that because there's been so many changes in the market over the past 5-10 years that its hard to keep up. Don't quote me on that because I'm not too confident about Vegas TV ratings.
  16. Its not a surprise. One, its Vegas. Two, Gray is converting KVVU into what KSNV wanted to do under Jim Rogers. So now, its 4-10am, 1-2pm, 3-7:30pm and 10pm-12am. That's 13 and a half hours if your keeping score at home, LONG and away THE most hours of produced local news hours in Southern Nevada. I recorded the open and close to the first 7:00 p.m. newscast from that night:
  17. Doesn't bother me. Soaps isn't needed anymore in this day and age.
  18. Actually, they got into the FAST realm before FOX Weather. Its called LiveNOW from FOX.
  19. When does the new 4:30pm news begin and when does the 6pm simulcast begin?
  20. Verizon FiOS will soon become the first pay TV provider to carry FOX Weather.
  21. Logopedia counts WGN as a client with WGN-TV dating back to 1991, so I believe its them.
  22. That word gets thrown around a lot now these days, but in this case, this one really really fits.
