    Given that they have former OU Quarterback Jason White and of course, Lord Gary England that makes logical sense for ACS to have the kind of money needed to spend the advertising dollars and money needed to sponsor a multitude of things including the Chopper. When Air Comfort Solutions was sponosring KFOR's chopper it would've been a lot easier to say "ACS Chopper 4" instead of "Air Comfort Solutions Chopper 4" like what they did but that's just me.

    My guess is that Air Comfort Solutions didn't want to renew the contract when it was up. Who knows what went on behind the scenes (maybe @Al-SA-TX might have an answer as to why ACS didn't renew the deal with KFOR for Chopper 4 but I could be wrong)

    Actually KFOR's chopper is no longer called Air Comfort Solutions Chopper 4 (or ACS Chopper 4 for short) it's now just Chopper 4.

    I imagine the RSNs were low on the priority list. Which even if it was the case do you think the Murdoch's would've been a lot better off hanging on to the RSNs or do you think the Murdoch's made the right call by selling. To me the way I see it, the only reason why a lot of providers and MVPDs didn't drop the RSNs when it was owned by Murdoch was because Murdoch had a lot of clout in his pocket to ensure that the RSNs wouldn't go dark, now the RSNs are owned by Sinclair it just seems as if the RSNs are missing that negotiating clout they once had under Murdoch. Overall I think given the way the RSNs were sold for, the Murdoch's should've held on to the RSNs.

    And not just broken the media as we know it but it has broken the current RSN business model as well. I think Murdoch saw something in the media industry and he decided to exit the business, what exactly Rupert saw that made him leave the business? Who knows what he saw.

    I actually don't fault Fox for actually selling the RSNs in the first place, I think Rupert Murdoch saw the RSNs as a declining business with all the cord-cutting and he wanted to cut their losses before his company would suffer any real consequences that would lead to Bankruptcy (more on that in this post) The latter 2 I truly believe that are to blame I think a lot of it is on the Justice Department for going after the RSNs instead of the overlap between the Disney and Fox film assets (like what they should have done as I think there were a lot more antitrust issues related to that than the RSNs) and Sinclair gets some of the blame for their stubborness and of course, Chris Ripley's ignorance of the overall business.

    Those delusions and blantant ignorance showed up on the day Sinclair announced they were going to buy the RSNs from Disney as seen here: Skip to about 2:11 when CNBC's Sara Einsen asked Ripley a question about how cord cutting is affecting the RSN business and I won't say what Ripley's response was other than just blantant ignorance. Murdoch is just sitting back enjoying this clownshow that is Sinclair. I should add as well that Sinclair's stock price at that time was closer to 60 dollars (was over that when it was announced) now they're down over 50 percent in the last 9 months (30 percent since Ripley's igornant comments to Sara Einsen on CNBC) and quite frankly as much as I hate to say it, Sinclair deserves it, and Chris Ripley and the folks in Hunt Valley need to know that their blantant ignorance is going to lead them straight into bankruptcy and if they think that it's going to end pretty I have bad news for them; it's not.

    This cannot be a great sign at all but at the same time I'm not surprised as Chris Ripley (like he did in the Tribune deal) continues to show blantant ignorance to anybody questioning him about anything to do with things related to cord-cutting and it's impact on the RSNs

    Via TVNewsCheck: KING 5 is moving Angela Poe Russell from "Take 5" to "Evening" however the changes don't end there.     Bloomberg is reporting that Sinclair is in talks Bruin Sports (the parent company of Deltatre) This might be behind the paywall for some of y'all that have reached the limit of articles that you can read per month but I should note that the only RSNs not included in this deal are Marquee and YES, all the former Fox Regional Sports Networks are included in this deal. Some of the notable clients are the NFL, MLB and (ironically) Fox Sports.

    I'm not even sure what Gray is thinking here (IF they are even thinking at all) That and now all of the sudden KEYC is influenced by Tegna. This could very well end up being an epic disaster at KEYC.

    Given the direction the NFL might be taking when the current TV contract expires that actually does make sense for Fox to have an actual NFL package rather than just a package tailor made for the NFC

    Out of the 3 that you mentioned I'm actually partial towards the YES package being used on the other FSNs, we'll just have to wait and see what Sinclair decides to do. Beyond that there is precedent to former Fox owned RSNs hanging on to the Fox package long past the retirement date (e.g. FSN Northwest, Pittsburgh and Rocky Mountain all kept the 2008 FSN package even after those RSNs became Root Sports) so it's possible that Sinclair may rebrand the RSNs in the Spring and wait until the Fall and then roll out the new package.

    I suspect that at least through April the Sinclair RSNs would probably need the outgoing Fox package. I suspect that the Sinclair RSNs will roll out a new graphics package on a template based on the Marquee Sports Network graphics, I'm not sure if the FSNs will indeed use that template but that is certainly a possibility here.

    My thinking is that NBC would only add that fifth hour of Today if Sony ends production of Days of Our Lives because there's no way NBC takes away the 11am or 12pm slots from the affiliates (and certainly not the 2pm or 3pm slots either)

    Given that Sinclair hasn't revealed anything as far as rebranding plans are concerned right now it looks like it'll be Sinclair keeping Stadium and the FSNs seperate (unless things change between now and Opening Day for Major League Baseball.
