Actually there is two of them that use Image News not only was that used for the Noon newscast but it was also used for their morning newscast as seen here

Sorry if I bump a stagnant thread but.. As promised by Sinclair CEO Chris Ripley during the last earnings call, John Wall Street repoted on Friday that Sinclair is indeed going to increase it's stake in Stadium. Right now details at this point are limited as far as how much stake Sinclair will have in Stadium but this has to be a HUGE boost for not just Sinclair and Stadium itself but for the RSNs as well which makes sense given that Ripley has hinted about leveraging more Stadium content on the RSNs outside of the pre and post game shows. The announcement on those should come within the next week or so (possibly either the day after thanksgiving or next week) stay tuned.

KOCO (June 1994) featuring the Gannett Deathstar from the 5 News era
-
I think we might need to speculate over in the speculatron thread because I have a bunch of questions related to this
-
Sounds similar to the arraingement Local TV and Tribune had only on an even smaller scale
-
Wait a minute... Did I just read correctly that Gray owns a partial stake in Sarkes Tarzian?
-
Also since there is overlap in the coverage area of Northeast Alabama where DeKab and Jackson Counties in AL are officially assigned to Huntsville but can also pick up the Chattanooga stations both OTA as well as on Cable systems in that part of Northeast Alabama
-
Most likely KFDX (and the other Nexstar stations throughout the Lone Star State) carry the original report from KXAN (Austin) and I imagine when they're covering issues affecting Oklahoma they'll use KFOR (same for KNWA, KSNF/KODE, KTAL and KAMR since their markets cover portions of Oklahoma)
-
I think KFDX must've collaborated with KFOR to cover the shooting at the Walmart in Duncan which KFOR DID send a reporter to Duncan (Stephens County, which is assigned to the Wichita Falls-Lawton DMA) and then perhaps the KFOR reporter filed the report for KFDX
-
Nexstar will probably leave KFOR alone for the most part. If they can leave stations like WFLA, WOOD and WAVY well enough alone, they should be able to leave KFOR well enough alone as well.
-
That in itself was the most interesting part about Nexstar buying KRBK
-
Not only as an overflow newscast for KRBK but also maybe perhaps as an overflow newscast for KOLR in the event a CBS Sports telecast ran long as well. I think Nexstar made the right call with the regulations the FCC had in place at the time to pull off a triopoly by acquiring KRBK
-
Now that I think about it maybe perhaps KOZL reruns KRBK's 6:30pm newscast in case KRBK airs a Fox Sports telecast that runs into the 9pm newscast they can just simply air the newscast on KOZL
-
Either that or have KOZL do a 7pm newscast and shift MNT to 8-10pm that I'm sure would solve that problem
-
I was looking at both KOZL's and KRBK's schedules and you are correct about KRBK being weeknights only. As for KOZL they replay KRBK's 6:30pm newscast every weeknight at 9
-
Is KOLR STILL doing the 9pm news for KOZL even though they litterally compete against KRBK's own efforts at 9pm?
-
Not neccesaily, both KWTV and KOTV have their own chopper but they will often times collaborate especially on a big severe weather day (Prime example would be May 20th of this year where litterally the entire storm chasing staff of KOTV including Osage SkyNews 6) came to my side of the state to cover what was supposed to be a big severe weather event but (fortunately) never materialized
-
KOTV would like a word with you
-
Which that remains unchanged even now with KFOR's partnership with Air Comfort Solutions and it was the same amount of time that Mike Morgan mentioned "Air Comfort Solutions Chopper 4" as it was with "Bob Moore Chopper 4" Ironically enough KFOR formed a partnership with the Bob Moore Auto Group for Chopper 4 when KFOR was owned by Local TV and they may have done so out of fear that KFOR would face the same demise that KDVR faced with SkyFox after KDVR was sold to Local TV (albeit KDVR's and KFOR's cases are 2 very different cases and are also two very different situations)
-
Boone County is probably more lieniant on those types of cases than what Benton County is.
-
That would probably depend on the judge in this case because see if this is a Freedom of the Press issue then the Judge in this instance went a bit too far within his powers. If the Judge told the Reporter to knock it off more than once and she didn't do then yeah I could see why the Judge would do that. Whatever the case may be, I would appeal the contempt charge if I were in the reporter's shoes.
-
Some judges are leaniant on the recorded notetaking other judges not so much and the Benton County Judge apparently has an issue with that.
-
I didn't know that just using audio recording for a reporter's note taking is considered to be a Contempt of Court charge. What's going to be so bad for that reporter is that now she now has a criminal record for that contempt charge which means it's going to be difficult to land a future job anywhere (it's obtainable but now it's going to be difficult) This is something to look out for when I take my News Reporting course for my Mass Communication degree.

Did KTUL ever utilized their Chopper for Severe Weather coverage? Because I know KOTV HEAVILY utilizes Osage SkyNews 6 for Severe Weather coverage
-
Exactly it'd be foolish if Nexstar got rid of Air Comfort Solutions Chopper 4 for those reasons you mentioned. I'm surprised in general that none of the other station groups in the state's 2 largest cities (especially Tulsa) have never invested into having a news helicopter.
