  1. Which that remains unchanged even now with KFOR's partnership with Air Comfort Solutions and it was the same amount of time that Mike Morgan mentioned "Air Comfort Solutions Chopper 4" as it was with "Bob Moore Chopper 4" Ironically enough KFOR formed a partnership with the Bob Moore Auto Group for Chopper 4 when KFOR was owned by Local TV and they may have done so out of fear that KFOR would face the same demise that KDVR faced with SkyFox after KDVR was sold to Local TV (albeit KDVR's and KFOR's cases are 2 very different cases and are also two very different situations)
  2. Boone County is probably more lieniant on those types of cases than what Benton County is.
  3. That would probably depend on the judge in this case because see if this is a Freedom of the Press issue then the Judge in this instance went a bit too far within his powers. If the Judge told the Reporter to knock it off more than once and she didn't do then yeah I could see why the Judge would do that. Whatever the case may be, I would appeal the contempt charge if I were in the reporter's shoes.
  4. Some judges are leaniant on the recorded notetaking other judges not so much and the Benton County Judge apparently has an issue with that.
  5. I didn't know that just using audio recording for a reporter's note taking is considered to be a Contempt of Court charge. What's going to be so bad for that reporter is that now she now has a criminal record for that contempt charge which means it's going to be difficult to land a future job anywhere (it's obtainable but now it's going to be difficult) This is something to look out for when I take my News Reporting course for my Mass Communication degree.
  6. Did KTUL ever utilized their Chopper for Severe Weather coverage? Because I know KOTV HEAVILY utilizes Osage SkyNews 6 for Severe Weather coverage
  7. Exactly it'd be foolish if Nexstar got rid of Air Comfort Solutions Chopper 4 for those reasons you mentioned. I'm surprised in general that none of the other station groups in the state's 2 largest cities (especially Tulsa) have never invested into having a news helicopter.
  8. Which that is literally right around the corner from where my parents and I have our Condos are at and also we go by there often when we're up in Branson. I live about 4 to 5 hours or so outside of Branson so we try to go up there at least once a year, do Sight and Sound, the Showboat and also eat at Lambert's in Ozark, MO.
  9. So that's been going on since at least the 80s/90s
  10. I think they may have started doing that in the late 2000s or something like that I remember when I went to Branson with my parents around 2007/08 (I was about 9 to 10 years old at the time) KOLR did a lake level report at the time so it could've been after 2004/05 when KOLR and the other Ozarks stations started doing that
  11. I'm curious to know when did KOLR and the other Springfield stations started doing the lake level reports on the lakes around the viewing area?
  12. Most likely the policy varies from station to station, for example KFOR has had the sponsor attached to the Chopper 4 name since the tail end of the Local TV era. Because of that I expect KFOR to keep their bird, I know several ex-MG stations most notably WFLA and WAVY still have their birds.
  13. I probably remember the Springfield 33 News era during the times my parents and I would make that 4 hour trip to Branson for a Vacation
  14. I doubt if KXXV will be the next station to receive the package. Quite frankly, this package needs some work before it can be rolled out to other Scripps stations around the country. Also @Weeters mentioned on Discord about the ex-Journal stations perhaps resisting on the new graphics package could Scripps tailor the new look for the ex-Journal stations? I think it'll be very interesting to see how Scripps does with this package.
  15. Meanwhile in Indianapolis, WISH-TV is expanding the Saturday edition of their 10pm newscast to a full hour beginning November 23rd. https://tvnewscheck.com/article/more-news/241473/wish-adds-another-weekend-newscast/
  16. Looking at the package seen on WTXL that was to be expected for a market the size of Tallahassee. Hopefully, Scripps will take the package seen on WTXL and improve upon it from there
  17. I wonder if Soo Kim's influence on Tegna has something to do with this
  18. I doubt if we hear about any potential early retirements except for maybe Galen Culver and Tara Blume but outside of those two, I think everybody else is pretty much safe at this point.
  19. Also according to this, The Twitter account of SportsTime Ohio has been merged with Fox Sports Ohio and they now go by Fox Sports Cleveland and Fox Sports Columbus on Twitter. I've also noticed that Fox Sports Sun itself no longer has it's own Twitter account (they do have one for each individual team but that's it) same with Fox Sports South/Southeast as well as Fox Sports Tennessee and Fox Sports Carolinas (with the exception of the PredsonFSTN and CanesonFSCAR accounts)
  20. First off something got messed up in the system not entirely sure what happened with that. Second off, Kevin is only 59 he don't turn 60 until the 23rd of next month so I don't think Nexstar would force Kevin into early retirement because don't forget he's also the moderator of Flash Point on Sunday mornings. Otherwise I think Galen is safe, I think Tara is fine where she's at I don't think she gets laid off and given how Severe Weather savy Oklahoma is it'd be a big mistake for KFOR and Nexstar to let Mike Morgan go imo
  21. Which that does make sense since she did attend Oklahoma City University and got her Law Degree. Although it is quite interesting to see how someone like Abby Broyles can get into television news with her Law Degree. It goes to show you how broad and wide the Mass Communication degree is as I've learned in my semester that I've been attending College
  22. To be honest that's because Hearst knows how to do standardization correctly.
  23. Looking at how WFLA, WAVY and WOOD have done since the Nexstar era, I think Nexstar will allow KFOR to keep Air Comfort Solutions Chopper 4 and also Nexstar might eliminate Sarah Libby's position as a freelance meteorologist. Beyond that the only changes I envision are anchor lineups and merging of newscasts (i.e. 4:30pm newscast merging into the 4pm hour and the 6:30pm newscast merging into the 6pm newscast) On the latter since as you said Nexstar eliminated what was Lance West's old position most likely I see Kevin and Joleen adding another 30 minutes to their anchoring duties. Also don't forget about Heather Holeman too if you don't include that period from 2007-15 where she was a stay-at-home mother she's been with Oklahoma's News Channel 4 since 2000 as well. Things are about to get interesting at 444 East Britton Road that's for sure
  24. So KFOR has used the current 4 styling for 25 years right?
  25. In different variations that is. You can see the difference as far as how the current "4" is shaped vs how the 4 was originally shaped in the 4Strong era
