  1. Now you wonder why Hearst has been buying up the duopoly bait stations as of late
  2. Have they announced when the new ticker will make its official, permanent debut? I know it'll be before the start of the Football season but, what specific date have they set for that debut?
  3. This leaves KTUL as Tulsa's only 11am newscast
  4. I would not be surprised if other Hearst stations affiliated with ABC do the same (KMBC, KETV, KHBS/KHOG and KOAT come to mind, while KOCO could simply just slide over the 9am newscast to 11am)
  5. I'll be doing the same in 2028 when I turn 30
  6. We all are getting old, I'll be 20 in December. Man that's pretty old
  7. Hence why I said technically for that very reason
  8. KRBK's license is in Osage Beach, Missouri (near Lake of the Ozarks) which technically is within the Springfield/Branson DMA
  9. KDA/KSWO/KSLA would pretty much give TEGNA every single market that serves portions of the Lone Star State
  10. I guess Springfield becomes another Jacksonville or another market that's on the same level as Springfield with only 2 owners controlling at least 3 stations
  11. I'd be curious if KTUL eventually get into the weekend morning news game. I know KJRH, KOKI, and KOTV are the only ones with a weekend morning newscast in some way, shape or form
  12. Which those sales should be easy ones AND this gives Hearst stations affiliated with Fox for the very first time
  13. It'll likely go through since the 8 voices test has been eliminated and as for Sinclair possibly acquiring WPFO that's for the speculatron
  14. Have KRCR returned to their Redding facility? I know for awhile they had to use their satellite station in Eureka (which is 4 hours from Redding) to cover the fire
  15. He anchored at KDFW for many years, did Evans retire from KDFW before or after the switch to Fox?
  16. AND... the more newscasts you have, the more money you're going to make from political ad leading up to Election Day, and that's a proven fact
  17. That's certainly a possibility, I'm not going to rule it out. Anything is possible
  18. For a syndicated show that have survived more than 1 split of a co-host, that show's how popular Live! is
  19. And of course, that didn't work out the way Mr. Rogers hoped it would
  20. I'm going to call it right now, Nexstar will gain a duopoly in Knoxville while also acquiring KTEN in Sherman/Ada The only question is who gets KAKELand? (since Nexstar already owns KSN) my money for that would be on Standard or Hearst acquiring KAKELand
  21. Then I probably misread your post, my bad
  22. Can't be sexting on social media, I'd have to read the article but, just out of curiosity did West did that while he was at work and yet the boss didn't even know about what was happening? EDIT: Just read the article and yeah he did do that while he was at work because he took a selfie while he was on KFOR's set
  23. Then my guess is (as MorningNews said) ABC will probably move the 3rd hour of GMA to 9am, send Live! to 10am and The View to 1pm (unless they want to pair the 3rd hour of GMA with The View) but in the interim it'll air in the 1pm ET slot
  24. If they do move it to the 9am hour, it'll most likely not occur until sometime next year at the earliest, otherwise, 1pm ET is alright until ABC figures out whether to give the 1pm ET/12pm CT slot back to its local affiliates or put The View in the 1pm ET/12pm CT slot
  25. My question is why isn't ABC bringing back the Good Afternoon America branding for the show's 3rd hour?
