  1. According to @rkolsen on the Discord, the CBS O&Os are debuting new elements on Monday. The wait and speculation may be finally over. Sneak peek: (h/t @rkolsen)
  2. New reporter. Sabrina Franza from News 12 The Bronx.
  3. NYPost reports that Apollo is closing in on a deal to acquire TEGNA.
  4. With KTVT, WJZ, WBBM, and now KCNC all switching to First Alert Weather, I have cause to believe that this is a groupwide mandate (with the exceptions of Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Boston, and Miami).
  5. KTVT jumped on the First Alert bandwagon, as well. Appears this is likely gonna be the standard across the O&Os.
  6. Apparently, The Rally debuts on the BSNs (and likely Marquee and YES) Jan. 24. Also, former Cubs beat writer Russell Dorsey has joined Bally Sports.
  7. ViacomCBS is creating a local news innovation lab that will be based at KTVT/KTXA.
  8. Does the average WLS viewer even know who John Idler is?
  9. Watched KXAS last night -- they have it as well.
  10. Fox Weather is doing a Christmas Yule Log.
  11. Another NewsNation alum joins WBBM. Sandy Pudar.
  12. The Biden White House is granting spots in the briefing room to some station groups.
  13. An American feed of CNNI already exists.
  14. About last night's severe weather coverage. Apparently, TWC did continue with rolling coverage overnight only in areas affected.
  15. With Bryon Allen about to purchase TEGNA, he could easily respond to this criticism by simulcasting a TEGNA station's severe weather coverage on TWC overnights in the future.
  16. They aired a piece from KHON a few days prior. Won’t be surprised if Fox inked deals with Nexstar and Scripps to launch FWX on their Fox stations.
  17. Yes, it did.
  18. The Across America segment also didn’t run at all during the FBN simulcast, but it came back in the 8am ET hour.
  19. Well, FBN is using its own bug on the simulcast, naturally. The program bar on the screen flips between the horizontal FWX logo and "America's Weather Weekend" (I assume it'll remain static on the latter when the rest of the show goes exclusive to FWX at 8am ET).
  20. I would've simulcasted the entire 6-hour block on FBN.
  21. AC360 extends to two hours in the interim.
  22. Lauren Magiera has to be his successor, right?
  23. New meteorologist.
  24. It's going to an obscure subchannel called VPOD TV (53.3). Really hoping CFA strikes a deal next year to bring the parade back to WLS or WCIU.
  25. This slipped under the radar for some reason. WGN is not broadcasting this year's Chicago Thanksgiving Parade.
