  1. As promised, Fox Weather Wild was knocked out for extended severe weather coverage tonight.
  2. Well, this came out of left field. Leila Rahimi will come in and split sports anchoring duties with Jeff Blanzy and Mike Berman.
  3. Turns out FWX’s mascot has a name.
  4. Fox Weather just indicated they intend to go live all night for the Nor'Easter, as well.
  5. Night Light is basically a loop of a 3D map with weather conditions set to calming music. No OCMs at all.
  6. They are doing live updates during FWW repeats, so that’s a bit of a relief. I assume they’ll break in if warranted.
  7. So Fox Weather Wild is basically a looser version of their rolling weather coverage with a focus on extreme weather.
  8. The Across America segment finally got refreshed with different meteorologists after the first 6am ET roll. I guess they're only doing it twice daily.
  9. It’s also available via the Fox News app. It was also advertised as being available on Tubi, but it has yet to show up there.
  10. The O&O involvement starts with the “Across America” segment which plays twice every hour.
  11. Well, turns out Sky Dome is only from 9am-Noon ET. America’s Weather Center is the main afternoon block, apparently.
  12. The livestream is finally up, and it's streaming at 60fps, at least on iPad.
  13. Appears the 3D radar is a feature only on iOS for now. The Android version is still a garden-variety mobile app radar.
  14. According to NewscastStudio, it's taking over the space that was previously the Fox News Deck.
  15. This LA Times piece says that FWX will also be offered on the Fox O&O subchannels in January, so not likely. Yeah, it’s my fault for linking that video in the first place.
  16. As an addendum, here's a little taste of what live coverage will look like.
  17. Appears Fox Weather had an accidental soft-launch on FS2 this afternoon (FS2 has since went back to regular programming)
  18. Variety write-up.
  19. One week out from launch day, four new meteorologists announced: Marissa Torres (from WPIX), Ian Oliver (WFLA), Kiyanna Lewis (News 12), and Jane Minar (off-air meteorologist promoted).
  20. The Scripps National Spelling Bee is moving from ESPN to Ion/Bounce TV.
  21. She's going to Fox News.
  22. Appears Fox is breaking in new graphics for MLB.
  23. We have a launch date: October 25th.
  24. KATU is not airing morning and afternoon news today so their staff can attend a mental health event. Their 11pm news will air as scheduled.
