It's supposed to be live, and it's also carried on social media platforms at the same time. WKYC has now announced its latest hire: Emily Mayfield, wife of Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield! Don't forget Hometeam 19/43, 43 The Block, numerous attempts from WKYC (5:30, Weekday Fever, multiple attempts at a one-hour 6pm newscast), Today's Morning Exchange, any of WEWS' in-house attempts to replace Ted Henry, Cleveland Television News (WOIO and WUAB's merged newsroom circa 1995), and so on. Am I missing anything? Speaking of ei8ht is News, here are commercials from when WJW was transitioning from that branding to FOX 8. Even the announcer was calling it "Fox ei8ht is News."

At least the current graphics package at WOIO are a lot better than the "Cleveland 19" look and any of the "Action News" looks.

Here's the premiere of "Lunch Break" that went over-the-air on WKYC. They are broadcasting the Noon newscast on Channel 3 (or just simply "3") and both its YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook pages. They will have guest co-hosts joining Jay and Stephanie.

I can see it now. A 2:07 am newscast called "3 News: Let's Go Get Some BBQ and Get Busy" or "3 News: A Hero Ain't Nothin' But a Sandwich." It would feature TV and movie clips fitting to news stories with popular tunes as news music. It would be dope! (By the way, I'm being sarcastic)

I actually like the Channel 5 logo more than the new Channel 3 logo. Like you said some love it, others hate it. Then there are those who are indifferent, and just want the news. Even Channel 19's current logo (a HUGE improvement over the Cleveland 19 logo, which was the "Cleveland's CBS 19" logo but with a different color scheme that was more of the Wolverines and even the Warriors) is better than 3's new design. That's just my opinion.

The male anchor does not seem comfortable in the end of the video. As for the new look and logo, it looks rather blah. I think the folks at Dick Goddard Way are smiling right now.

At this point, I would rather be in WOIO's shoes as we don't know how Nexstar (or maybe Fox) might handle WJW. Who knows, WEWS and even WOIO/WUAB might be in better position than WKYC and WJW.

I stopped watching Daily Blast Live last season, because I couldn't take any more of the split screen political discussions. It is no longer something I even want to check out again. This will cement WJW with the best investigative unit in Cleveland, with WEWS a strong second. WKYC is rebuilding theirs, while WOIO saw the guy from Florida who apparently replaced Carl Monday left to try another run at a political office.

The Circle/Elevator3 look is not good at all. I'm all for change, but it needs some retooling. Plus, notice how the new logo has been slowly appearing on the news set and in the newsroom.

Here is the full lineup: 4-7am Go! 12-12:30pm Lunch Break with Jay Crawford 6-6:30pm What Matters Most 7-7:30pm Front Row 11-11:30pm What's Next "Live on Lakeside" will shorten to an hour, and it looks like "Donovan Live" is history. I don't know if they will implement "3 News" in front of the titles on-air, but we shall see. People will like them, people won't. We shall see.

Also on that same day, they are launching a midday newscast called "Lunch Break." -
That's not all, WKYC is relaunching its midday newscast, and they're calling it "Lunch Break with Jay Crawford." Supposed to debut on September 23.

(Cross posted from the Out and About forum) On September 23, WKYC is changing their 6pm newscast from "Channel 3 News at 6" to "What Matters Most." Saw it in another promo. There might be more changes on the air on that same day as the station is teasing in promos.
