Is NewsNation really changing its name to Matlock? That seems bizarre. Unless that press release was taken from The Onion.

What caused WCLQ to not step against WOIO and WBNX, especially considering 55 was more of an Akron station and wouldn't 61 have more of a head start than 19. If 61 remained as an independent through late 1986, maybe if they picked up Fox instead of 19, it could given that station a longer lifeline.

Maybe The Doctors will get a boost now that Dr. Oz is not on daytime anymore.

Maybe they could retool with Judge Jerry...Seinfeld!!! That would do better!

What also didn't help Nick was the controversy he was facing in 2020. I'm sure there are still people who refused to watch his talk show because of that.

Two Cleveland reporters are both leaving their stations after today. Adrienne DiPiazza is leaving WJW and Meg Shaw is leaving WEWS. Both served as reporters on their respective morning newscasts. https://www.clevescene.com/cleveland/adrienne-dipiazza-leaving-fox-8-meg-shaw-leaving-channel-5/Content?oid=38456520

Standard General to acquire Tegna for $8.6 Billion
CLETVFan replied to dman748's topic in General TV
What about WKYC? Could the new company sell the station or if they hold onto it, change from the approach they adapted back in late 2019? Speaking of 3, I came across something interesting in this post on one of their blogs. It has to do with its newscasts: This seems to say that WKYC might be doing better in the ratings, even with its format switch and creative brandings. Could all of that go away ownership changes?- 433 replies

WKYC has turned What Matters Most from a newscast name into an overall station slogan. The 6pm news tonight was identified as "3News at 6" instead of What Matters Most.- 3596 replies

Here's a thought - Could The CW end up moving from broadcast to cable and/or streaming?

WKYC used to be #1 a lot at 11 until the 2019 makeover. They have lost a lot of viewers. If they are rebounding, good for them.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the non-primetime NewsNation newscasts end up being simulcasted on CW affiliates, particularly the morning news. I can see Nexstar turning the CW into its version of the big four possibly with entertainment, news and even sports. It would be a lot different than what the network is today. I can also see a lot of the current CW shows getting the boot as well.

How are the other networks going to react to the whole CW/Nexstar deal and would Nexstar have its stations in some markets switch to the CW or make it a subchannel? (The ones that are not affiliated with the network)

WJZY to become Queen City News starting in the new year
CLETVFan replied to CarolinaWxGuy's topic in Graphics
Isn't "Queen City" also a nickname for Cincinnati? That could confuse people.
