It's nice that Nexstar appears to be allowing a former Tribune station to keep their bird. Does anyone know anything about Nexstar's helicopter policy?

First off something got messed up in the system not entirely sure what happened with that.
Second off, Kevin is only 59 he don't turn 60 until the 23rd of next month so I don't think Nexstar would force Kevin into early retirement because don't forget he's also the moderator of Flash Point on Sunday mornings.
Otherwise I think Galen is safe, I think Tara is fine where she's at I don't think she gets laid off and given how Severe Weather savy Oklahoma is it'd be a big mistake for KFOR and Nexstar to let Mike Morgan go imo
It was easier for Nexstar to let Eli go as he was essentially the new guy, for all the others, Uncle Perry would need to probably retirement packages for the long time KFOR personalities. Do we hear "retirement" announcements after sweeps?

She is a lawyer now but I think does the news on the side
Speaking of Abby Broyles, she apparently announced today that she'll be challenging Jim Inhofe in Oklahoma's 2020 Senate race.

KFOR been using that "4" since the "4STRONG" days...
More specifically, the logo was introduced when the station became KFOR in 1990.
You can see KFOR's logo history here.

More than likely it'd be Kevin Ogle doing the 4 and 5pm newscast. Most likely what Nexstar is doing is they're consolidating the seperate newscasts with seperate anchors into one newscast with one anchor team each now I don't know what that means for the future of anchors like Heather Holeman most likely she could just slide over to the 4pm side with Kevin and let Kevin/Joleen anchor all other newscasts except for 9pm on KAUT (unless Kate Smith gets the axe too).
All I can say is that changes are coming to 444 East Britton Road and this could either be a good thing or it could very much be an epic disaster and before anybody asks about ratings I can't comment about them because no one in the OKC area does local station ratings anymore and the most recent relevant data I can find dates back to 2001 (that's 18 years ago)
Sadly, I'm forecasting a bloodbath at KFOR as several of their personalities, Kevin Ogle & Mike Morgan, have been there for nearly the entire KFOR era and have survived all previous owners, Palmer > NYT > Local TV > Tribune. I see Nexstar making KFOR/KAUT younger and cheaper. As for poor Eli, he took over for Lance West after the latter's forced resignation, thus, it was West's old position that was eliminated. Moreover, Scott Hines depated just before the sake was completed.
Current KFOR Personalities Who've Have More then 10 Years Tenure
Tara Blume - 1991
Brian Brinkley - 1990
Joleen Chaney - 2007
Galen Culver - 1991
Ali Meyer - 2000
Mike Morgan - 1993
Kent & Kevin Ogle - 1993
Other Questions:
Does Nexstar keep Chopper 4?
Does Nexstar allow KFOR to staff 5 Meteorologist?

If you live in places like Mobile and Rochester, NY it'd be a good idea to get an antenna because (and I hope I'm wrong and this dispute gets resolved soon) I see no end in sight with this ongoing dispute
Would there be any scenario where the parties involved could declare the dispute unresolved and permanent?
-
We missed this one, the Cowles/AT&T dispute has been resolved!
That just leaves the Sinclair sidecars to be resolved.

After looking at the above video, it’s interesting that KTVT isn’t really getting any criticism. A long delay in getting on the air on Channel 11. Facebook and your little-watched sister station don’t count in a situation like this one.
If KXAS & KTVT want to provide any excuses, they can say that they're Fort Worth stations and focus on the western side of the market.

KXAS, the NBC O&O for DFW, has issued a rare public apology for delays in breaking into last night’s Cowboys game to report on multiple tornadoes in its coverage area. Will be interesting to see if this does any long-term damage, ratings-wise, to the station. My guess is no. Certainly not a good look for them, though, at least in the short term.
The tornado happened during the 4th quarter, the game was not in doubt, KXAS could've cut away and referred unaffected viewers to the NBC Sports, NFL, or Yahoo! apps.

One more thing with Sinclair, with the mothership on board with AT&T, will this lead to the sidecar companies signing a new agreement after a months long blackout?

AT&T and Sinclair reached a new retrans deal.
I read in the article that the agreement includes the RSNs, including Marquee, which give the following questions:
Will Ohio fans get full time HD feeds of what is now FSOH & FSOH-CIN on DIRECTV?
Where will DIRECTV place Marquee, channel 664 or 666? NBCS-CHI is on 665.
How will this go over with our west coast sports fans who don't have SNLA, NBCSNW, or Pac12N?

If Chris Ripley has his way MLB games on the Fox RSNs could be aired on feeds that are DMA-specific (example the St. Louis Cardinals could air on Fox Sports Oklahoma within the Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Fort Smith, and Little Rock DMAs as well as Fox Sports Tennessee/South/Southeast within the Jonesboro, Memphis, Jackson, MS, and Paducah/Cape Girardeau DMAs)
We've been able to access Cardinals games on FSGO in Ada, Oklahoma (Sherman/Ada).

Are there any LP's laying around in Alpena that WBKB could look into to accommodate it?
I don't believe so.

That announcement is related to the now-closed WVIR deal. WVIR currently run two translators streaming its signal (W30CT-D Harrisonburg (that'll become WSVW-LD) & W22EX-D Staunton). That current signal will be replaced with the new local "NBC 3" on 12/1.
With this announcement, along with the impending launches of NBC in Presque Isle & Mankato, this will leave only the microscopic Alpena market, DMA 208, as the only market in America w/o an in market NBC station. I wonder whether WBKB can open a DT4 in order for the Peacock to have full USA coverage?

If Gray needs more bandwidth in NWO, there's WMNT-CD, which shows MNT and other subnets.
-
Meanwhile in Denver, it appears the some early season Avalanche & Nuggets games will have a ZERO rating. What makes matter worse, the Broncos are 0-4.
-
Regarding the Sinclair-AT&T issue, does anyone know whether the fate of the RSNs is at stake in these talks?
Furthermore, as DIRECTV customer, I know where they can possibly place the Cubs' Marquee channel, Channel 666.
