  1. WOODTV will need to fill 3PM timeslot, WOTV 9AM, CW7 12:30PM & 4PM.
  2. Soo Kim getting back into the West Michigan TV market got a bad TV station with WZZM in my opinion WXMI Fox17 would've been a better station when Standard General was going to buy WXMI in the failed Sinclair Tribune merger. I have always called Standard General Media General from the dead LOL.
  3. I hope it gets cancelled never been a fan of DBL doesn't do well in the ratings DBL comes on at 7:30PM on WZZM.
  4. Is KMOV building outdated why Gray wants to move outside of St. Louis?
  5. Some changes CW7 is putting The National Desk weekend edition Sun at 10:30PM moving Last Man Standing to late Sun/early Mon 12:30AM To 1:30AM Seal Team is only on WWMT. As for Jennifer Hudson talker I see Nexstar: WOODTV maybe could take over Ellen's timeslot at 4PM if they don't go with a newscast at 4PM or sister station WOTV, TEGNA: WZZM, Scripps: WXMI FOX17 those are the 3 TV stations I can see in West Michigan I don't see Sinclair picking it up.
  6. I think Byron Allen would've been better merger than Apollo/Standard General in my opinion.
  7. WOW surprised that WKBD still has signs when they were Fox & UPN I do like Fox 50 logo with the gold. WKBD was Michigan local Super Station I think was in 90% of Michigan homes that had cable in the 80s & 90s, it was on Cablevision channel 10 WKBD was taken off in 93 or 94 not sure thou as I didn't have Cablevision at the time I had Adlelphia Comm that never did have WKBD I did get WNDU NBC, WBST CBS both South Bend, WSYM Fox47 Lansing, WWOR when it was an Indy TV station out in NYC/NJ before they became UPN it was dropped on New Years Eve 94.
  8. Funny how disputes end when it is close to the Olympics & Super Bowl that Dish agrees with TEGNA I'm guessing Dish will drop it's complaint with the FCC.
  9. WWMT didn't air the newscast kinda surprised they didn't use sister station CW7 when Golf was on. To air news.
  10. Uncle Perry Sook isn't a very good poker player he should've learned what happen to Lin TV when Wish lost CBS to WTTV to Tribune in 2014. CBS doesn't play and they take away your CBS WLNS is the oldest CBS TV station in Michigan I wonder where CBS would've gone in Lansing if Nexstar didn't agree to renew with ViacomCBS. Which I would think WWMT would've been the oldest CBS as they have been CBS since day 1 in Michigan. WJMN I was quite surprised they lost CBS since at one time it was a CBS O&O which surprised CBS wanted an O&O in Marquette & Green Bay as well. Sounds like WJMN didn't do much news other than 6PM & 11PM as I checked what they were putting on after they lost CBS on Fri kinda surprised they didn't become The CW since they may buy the network and became a MyNet TV.
  11. Good Dish will be on at 3PM on WoodTV replacing Dr. Oz, WXMI Fox17 flipped L&O SVU from 12:30AM to 1AM Modern Family is now a full hour from 12AM to 1AM, Chi Fire Sat 6PM if there is no College Basketball they didn't air Chi Fire during College Football season on the weekends.
  12. I don't see The CW putting a national newscast or a public affairs show either just my opinion.
  13. I see CBS still having a stake in The CW as I think Nexstar will have a 51% stake in network just my opinion, I think Warnermedia would have the stake maybe they sell all of it since Warnermedia is going to Discovery and maybe Discovery doesn't want a stake with The CW. I wonder who else is interested in The CW it makes sense that Nexstar buys The CW as they own a lot of CW's in bigger cities, I think Tribune had a stake in The WB when that launched in 95 sold it before The WB folded so Tribune didn't have to pay money when it shutdown.
  14. Very interesting that Wheel & J CBS, NBC O&O's want Wheel & J I think it is about the money for Sony/CBS. I think ABC will keep the rights to both shows since it has been on ABC O&O's since they began in 83 & 84.
  15. Maury was on Wood TV in the early '90's moved to sister station WOTV in 93 or 94 and was on until 02 when it moved to WXSP in fall of 02 was on Lin TV for 20 years. Then Tribune took over in 2011 WXMI Fox17 until the fall of 2020 before moving to CW7.
  16. WWJ newscast will fail they aren't going to compete with WJBK, WXYZ, WDIV, WWJ will be the dog of Detroit and not have much in the ratings.
  17. Yeah, new owners keep what the former owners have in Syndie it took about a year to get Right This Minute on WXMI Fox17 in fall 2020 from WXSP where it aired from Jan 2017 to Sep 2020 was on WOTV for one hot minute in fall of 2016 when MG was still owner. Nexstar made some programing moves in Jan 2017. I was kinda surprised that Scripps didn't find room for The List until Jan of 2021 when it was aired on the weekends until this fall did get a daily spot M-F. If Byron Allen does buy TEGNA WZZM he can't place all his shows on lineup as he doesn't have enough time slots to fill his lower court shows will remain on WXSP & CW7. He could put Highway Thru Hell on since that wasn't cleared in West Michigan in late night 1AM as that is ET repeat and then a repeat of 11PM News at 1:30AM.
  18. I knew that Gray had nothing to do with production of the show since Meredith kept that when the merger happen I was wondering if Gray is going to get rid of the show once they take over the Meredith TV stations on Dec 1? Gray could be the launch group for People On TV/People The TV Show when it goes national in fall of 2022 season.
  19. TEGNA is going to be sold sometime soon which I think will be Byron Allen as TEGNA doesn't want Soo Kim with Apollo/Standard General, since the board doesn't like Soo Kim and his takeover and not getting his choices on the board of TEGNA I wonder if Soo would sell his stake in TEGNA if Byron Allen if he is the winning bidder of TEGNA?
  20. I wonder now that Gray will own Meredith if People On TV will get canceled since that was Meredith's baby. I'm guessing Jan is when Sony says which TV stations groups are going to air it across the country? As big show happens down in South Beach about the new shows in syndie for fall 22-23 season.
  21. It would be smart of News Nation to put Live PD on the weekends in the same timeslot where it was on A&E which they were wrong to cancel it.
  22. It will be interesting where Jennifer Hudson would go in West Michigan. I have a feeling that Wood TV will put a 4PM newscast just my opinion and I could be wrong on that, as what I thought WZZM would've done when Judge Judy ended they kept her. That is all I'll say on the matter.
  23. Dish is the worse when it comes to channels going dark always seem to be in a dispute with someone. A few days ago Sinclair extended with Dish for one more week I think it is on Thur that it could end.
  24. Laura Velasquez leaves WXMI Fox17 after just 8 months she joined the station in Feb of 2021 she is a native to West Michigan as she worked for Wood TV for 7 years before leaving for Denver to work at KDVR and then ACCUWeather Network before she was laid off in March 2020 and is suing them. I thought that Laura would've stayed for at least a year & half to 2 years I didn't think she would be gone after just 8 months. Ever since Scripps took over Fox17 2 years ago a lot of talent have left the station either to other TV stations or getting out of the business as Fox17 lost 2 of the morning anchors a couple of months ago one moved to Cal to be closer to family another is still at the station doing different stuff.
  25. You Bet Your Life is bumped up to 7PM on Thur because of TNF on WXMI Fox17. I think WOW will be paired with ROH on CW7 next fall just my opinion I don't know if WWMT will air it as well like they do with ROH.
